Do you measure success by what others think of you. What is your paradigm of success? Is your connection with your children included in that vision of success. Where are you in the four areas of your life? Are you pursuing wholeness in every area of your life? For more information, check out, http://www.breakoutnow.com
In this episode of the Hunter podcast, it's all about owning your value and worth. Have you identified the stories that are taking away the value, in the work that you should share with those around you and not put it inside a coffin and buried inside of yourself? For more information, check out, http://www.breakoutnow.com
By now you’ve probably heard Thomas mention the Warrior Way a time or two, it’s the program he says turned his life around. Today the very founder of Warrior Way, Garrett J. White, is interviewing Thomas on his success in the program. Listen in as Thomas gets real and raw about his struggles as a father and how the program made such an impact on his life that he went on to be a certified trainer to lead other men to a more impactful life as well.
Can you truly prosper from an image of success when the substance isn’t there? Thomas sees now that his priorities were way off target before. The definition of success was placing in the competition, but that was accomplished with steroids and a spray tan. He knows now he would’ve been much more of a winner if he’d of put in the honest, hard work and ‘lost’. Where in life are you only cheating yourself?
A desire to be better isn’t a bad thing, but if you can’t accept who you currently are, appreciate what you have built so far and grow from there, you’re on shaky ground. Thomas shares a time in his life when he had a body and health to be proud of, but instead of being proud of himself, he was convinced he needed steroids to prove to others he was even better. Looking back, cheating to win stripped him of any pride at all. Own who you are and work at who you want to be.
We believe the stories we tell ourselves, so why not make them powerful and passion-driven? Why is it easier to believe that the next big thing is just going to fall in our laps than it is to believe we can get ourselves there with small steps every day? Thomas isn’t going to sugar-coat this for you, stop hoping and praying that things will work out, get off your butt and chase down what you want. Even if it were to fall into your lap, if you didn't work for it you don't deserve it.
