Welcome to Thriving Beyond your Scars! The Podcast that provides you with tips and tools to help you overcome your challenges and THRIVE. I'm Alero - an author, cancer survivor turned THRIVER and now podcaster. Everybody's definition of THRIVING is different and everybody has to find their own path. I want to show you that it is POSSIBLE to THRIVE whatever the condition you find yourself in. My guests will share with you their stories : The nature of their condition stroke, cancer, covid, lupus, anxiety, depression... How their condition impacted them and CREATED VISIBLE OR INVISIBLE SCARS on a financial, spiritual, emotional or physical level.They will be talking about the set of tools they used to overcome their challenges - Trust, Hope, Resilience , Gratitude, Faith, Nutrition, Involvement, Vision, Image, Humour, Humility, Reinvention ... Alero interviews Olivier on Reinvention and Resilience .Alero explains that Reinvention and Resilience is just part of life. She gives examples such as that of Capt Sir Thomas Moore , a war veteran who reinvented himself towards the end and raised almost £39m for NHS charities.  Capt Sir Thomas Moore died aged 100 .There is an analogy made between COVID19 and war - A nod to those who passed away and for those who survived, Alero highlights the search for meaning in the process of redefining your values and reinventing yourself.
Alero explores the topic of Hope and Faith with her guest Olivier a long term Covid survivor turned Thriver.Alero explains that it is important to surrender the outcome and let your hope and faith take over.  
In this episode, Alero explores the topic of Time  and Truth in the COVID19 series.Alero believes that during COVID19, we all had to change and possibly embrace time.Alero interviews Olivier, a long term COVID survivor turned THRIVER about how time has impacted him in the aftermath of COVID - Olivier shares how time impacted his confidence, his physical abilities and refers to how he had to reevaluate his set of values and how he started to empower himself to own his own truth and values.Whilst Alero  herself had suspected COVID 19,  Alero had the inherent strength to battled on both physically and mentally based on the THRIVING tools that she acquired when she had cancer.
Alero talks about the challenges of COVID 19 with her guest Olivier.Olivier  opens up on his own experience of COVID 19, and they both talk about the long term effect of COVID-19- visible and invisible.Alero talks about the The letter "T” for trust as a fundamental building block of Thriving  and expands on the  pillars of Trust - compassion , consistency, communication  and competency.
Alero interviews Andrew Vincent and focuses on visible and invisible illness and talks about how Resilience  and Reinvention helped Andrew in his path to Thriving.  Andrew is a now podcaster, media trainer who suffered a stroke, an imputation, a heart attack and also  suffers from dysexecutive syndrome . Despite his numerous  health challenges, Andrew retains his sense of humour and is able to inspire others to be resilient.
Andrew interviews and introduces Alero , the host of Thriving beyond your scars the podcast.   Alero talks about her story of going through cancer, surgery and the healing process. She talks about her journey and the birth of Thriving beyond your Scars the podcast. 
Alero interviews Richard. Richard explains what thriving means to him and how he gets involved at work and in his community to articulate his stance, educate others and inspire change. Richard addresses issues around being a black professional in the tech world and explains his role as a mentor in the LGBTQ community.
