Considering creationism as a plausible cause for the existence of the universe, would force us to ask "who is the Creator"? In S1E9, Miguel and Mairy discuss "should creationism be taught in public schools system"?The overwhelming majority of Americans (83%) want Evolution taught in public schools . By teaching creationism we are also teaching exclusivity, something many just do not feel comfortable with however, I do not think exclusivity is the only reason creationism is not taught in our public school system.If you declare that creationism is true then you must acknowledge there is a Creator. The question then becomes are we fulfilling the purpose for which the Creator created us? Everyone - pantheist, atheist, skeptic, polytheist - has to answer these questions: 'Where did I come from? What is life's meaning? How do I define right from wrong and what happens to me when I die? In season one episode seven, Miguel Lebron answers the question "How do you become a Skyscraper?" A Skyscraper is always in the clouds. You've probably heard someone say “get your head out of the clouds” for a Skyscraper, that's where they belong. The view point is much different, you see the clouds but also what's past them. Whereas others, can only see the conflict out issue before them. A Skyscraper can see past the mountain of adversity whereas others, can't even fathom there's more on the other side.How do you become a Skyscraper?#1. Location, location, location:Know the location you're in so that you may best serve those in that location. Also, know the location you're heading towards so that you may plan for possible roadblocks. (Foresight)#2. Solid foundation.A building is only as strong as its support. Surround yourself with people that will nourish your vision. A weak foundation will bring forth frustration and inconsistency. In fact, it will become a wheel were inconsistency brings forth insecurities which give birth to frustration. The Skyscraper (that could have been) will stay at ground level.#3. Investors.Investors are not just those that financially support the mission. The greatest currency we all have access to is time. Some invest their time weight and others miss manage it, becoming bankrupt emotionally in the process. When you have good investors, they will deposit in you something that is much more valuable than gold.#4. Time:Burj Khalifa (the current tallest building in the world) took 5 years to build. This takes time. To become a Skyscraper you must understand that there will be growing pains. It will require the support of many and time is of the essence. It's the greatest currency we have, let's be good stewards of it and respect the process.#5. Vision.Your vision has to be so big it scares people! They'd either be scared to lose an opportunity to be a part of something so big or scared to take on the challenge. A vision is just that, something you see. To become Skyscraper you've got to have your head in the clouds and see what no one else is seeing. Bonus Tip:Have a working compass in this journey. Your compass is your morals, the things you stand for. As Malcolm X once said “if you stand for something, you'll fall for anything”. In season one episode six, Miguel Lebron starts off by quoting what Martin Luther King, Jr. once said "The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy." I think it is safe to say we live in a time that is filled with both challenge and controversy.When Paul wrote to Timothy he said "Proclaim the message; persist in it whether convenient or not; rebuke, correct, and encourage with great patience and teaching. For the time will come when they will not tolerate sound doctrine,but according to their own desires, will multiply teachers for themselves because they have an itch to hear something new. They will turn away from hearing the truth and will turn aside to myths. But as for you, be serious about everything, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry" (2 Timothy 4:2-5).In such times as these, we need people that are firm in the faith and full of courage. Courage is not the absence of fear but rather - what we do in the face of it.

There are three kinds of culture; theonomous, heteronomous and autonomous. In this episode we observe all there and ask where are we as a nation?The Definition of Theonomous is governed by God, subject to God's authority. The word Theo is a Greek word meaning God and nomos means law. Now the question becomes what is God’s law? In a Theonomous culture, the law of God reigns supreme in all of our minds and hearts and He is recognized as the King of Kings. The Apostle Peter wrote in his first letter - submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every human authority: whether to the emperor, as the supreme authority, or to governors, who are sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right…Show proper respect to everyone, love the family of believers, fear God, honor the emperor (1 Peter 2:13 & 17, New International Version). After reading this passage the question then becomes what is wrong and what is right? The only way to properly answer this question is to look at God’s law whom actually establishes what is wrong and what is right. Six hundred and thirteen commandments were given to Moses then David reduced them to eleven (Psalm 15), Isaiah came and reduced them to six (Isaiah 33:15) and Micah reduced them to three (Micah 6:8) and Jesus then reduced them to only two; Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these” (Mark 12:30-31, New International Version). If indeed we were seeking life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness I think these commandment would be fulfilled but then again since we have sought after the pursuit of happiness, liberty and life the law of God has taken last place, if that.Heteronomous is defined as involving different laws. It is composed of two Greek words the first being heteros meaning another (of a different kind) and nomos meaning law; this is a form of Marxism. Marxism is an economic and political system developed by Karl Marx which simply states that the elite will control the meek. In the social and economic ladder, those on top will dictate for those in the bottom. We know for a fact this is not the American way as in its conception the idea was that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. America is known as the land of the brave and home of the free preciously because everyone has a chance at the “American Dream”.America is not a Theonomous culture as it welcomes the idea of many gods and it is certainly not a heteronomous culture because everyone has a power given by their creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. On the other hand if it is neither then America must be an autonomous culture. Autonomous just like the other two cultures before it are two words coming together, auto meaning self and nomos meaning law; one's own law. This is precisely where America currently stands and it is a long way away from its humble beginnings.

In the 2nd book of Samuel, chapter 9, we see that indeed there is still a person from the family of Saul and the house of Jonathan. His name was Mephibosheth. He was injured in both feet, son of Jonathan son of Saul and he lived in Lo-debar at the house of Machir son of Ammiel.So King David had him brought from the house of Machir son of Ammiel in Lo-debar. Mephibosheth son of Jonathan son of Saul came to David, bowed down to the ground and paid homage. David said, “Mephibosheth!” “I am your servant,” he replied. “Don’t be afraid,” David said to him, “since I intend to show you kindness because of your father Jonathan. I will restore to you all your grandfather Saul’s fields, and you will always eat meals at my table.” Mephibosheth bowed down and said, “What is your servant that you take an interest in a dead dog like me?” (2 Samuel 9:5-8).Mephibosheth, by all intensive purposes was the air to the throne! His name meant exterminator of shame yet he was full of shame. So much so that in the moment of his blessing he compared himself but to a dog. It is easy to speculate that his condition had something to do with the shame he felt. We often will view ourselves not how we want to be viewed, but rather how we think others view us. Worst of all is that we will share the view of a blind person instead of embracing the view of the living God.God shows up with the intent to bless but we are so caught up with the struggle we face, because as you know - the struggle is real.(Episode 4 Season 1)

Im sure you have heard people say "God doesn't call the qualified he qualifies the called". Today Miguel Lebron gives three reasons why he does not agree with that statment. Avenge me against my persecutors. In Your patience, don’t take me away. Know that I suffer disgrace for Your honor. Your words were found, and I ate them.
