In this episode I'm diving into the world of training talented horses. It's easy to take their abilities for granted, but rushing through exercises without a proper preparation, and the right explanation of all the steps, can lead to issues later on. Take flying changes for example. While a less talented horse requires careful steps like perfecting transitions, it can seem quite easy and effortlessly for a talented horse. The danger in this? Without groundwork, also the talented hor...

"What's the #1 thing you'd want to change in the horse world?" That's the question I received in my latest Q&A podcast. How would you answer that question? Sure, there are a lot of things that I would like to change. But, to be honest, I also believe there are also a lot of good things happening around us already. And that we should pay more attention to these positive things instead of only pointing out all the things going wrong. Of course, people pointing out the things that are ...

Groundwork has not always been a method that people knew existed. In the past, when few people were doing groundwork here in Europe, I did a lot of groundwork with my horses in preparation for international competitions. When I performed my exercises and groundwork patterns in the warm-up ring, people looked at me like I was a weirdo...
