Welcome back Taboo Listeners!
These lines get a little blurred as I go more personal with you - Taboo Talks is becoming what it should be with each Episode and with all of your support :)
This Episode is very personal, I come from a long family history of poverty, drug and substance abuse, and violence. It is because of this that I have grown to have very little sympathy or tolerance for substance abuse and the people it consumes everyday.
This episode is to highlight the importance of surrounding yourself with the kind of people that will elevate you to make better decisions, and along the way your life reflects the very people you spend the most time with.
This is not to discredit the fact that there are chemical properties responsible, as well as psychological, that contribute to substance abuse - but I've seen it conquered in my lifetime and I know that it is possible.
Thanks for tuning in to this Episode! xoxo

WHATSUPPPP Taboo listeners! We're back for another episode of our podcast channel, a little different because I wanted to incorporate video! This is a SHORT video, just sharing an experience I had, how I felt, and looking for your stories! When have you judged someone you didn't know and why? I honestly felt angered when this stranger approached me and seemed to pry into my personal space. His clothes were worn, and he wore a long black trench coat. He had burn scars up his arms which he stated causing self-harm made his OCD better, and a HUGE black eye....maybe from the last time he approached a stranger like me? He definitely didn't look like the type to play ball. Moral of the story, if you want to meet people join a GROUP or a CLUB. Don't bother me when I'm by myself, shopping. Nope. I hope you guys can relate - share your stories if you have them!
xoxo

Hey Taboo Listeners!
I'm back after 2 weeks of forgetting the month of love because to be honest F*ck it.
I'm here now to share with you guys the reality of me losing $2600 in an elaborate scam. I've reached out to my local news stations, contacted lawyers, the company I thought I was working for, my bank, and moving on to police reports - all to receive NO help.
Zero.
If I'm honest I feel completely ashamed and I'm highly upset that my first experience getting into the real world of working again I was scammed - I definitely didn't think it would happen to me and gave my "managers" the benefit of the doubt.
I was so upset that I even considered making my own scam! Obviously no authorities have any interest in helping solve this cyber crime, no matter how realistic it was for me. Why wouldn't I do what the scammers do??? I'm not even mad at the scammers - the authorities are the ones that let this happen on a continuous basis.
The poor get poorer.
Anywho, I'm doing better now. I'm looking forward to working on more episodes talking about real life and the taboo in it all. Thank you all for bearing with me, and entertaining my unfortunate story! You rock!
xoxo

Heeeeeey Taboo Listeners,
This Episode is E X T R A special, featuring a really good friend of mine and all his flavor. In this episode of "Quick D!ck" we talk about the hardship he faced when he was forced to be open about his sexuality, the judgment he dealt with after, and how it helped him with his confidence today. We also cover how it's difficult in the military being surrounded by men with the homophobic beliefs - and a few details on his new relationship with an older guy.
This is a true Episode of "Self Love" and becoming who you're truly meant to be - whatever that means for you!
