Description

Each Take It From Me conversation offers a unique insight into a subject scarcely talked about - emotional abuse - with firsthand accounts from every day people who have been through trauma and since overcome their abuser.
One of the hardest forms of abuse to recognize, emotional abuse is prevalent in all facets of society; from romantic relationships to family dynamics - even the business world. Awareness is key and statics suggest you would know someone who has or is going through it, even if they aren't aware themselves.
What does emotional abuse that looks like? How do these people, malignant narcissists, gain control and develop power over a person where they are drained of any self-worth, esteem and independence, gaslighted to the point that they feel unable to leave and if they do speak up, will never be believed?
Take It From Me aims to show there is a way forward; each person interviewed courageously sharing how they got themselves back to a happy, peaceful place. Offering perspective to others who need to free themselves from a similar situation, as well as signs to look out for, tools to help yourself or others and how to reconcile the damage caused by narcissistic abuse, overcome a debilitating history and reclaim your life.
