They promote safety by supervising an offender and ensuring compliance with any court orders.  They help them find the resources they need to complete their supervision while holding them accountable so they kind of serve as part counselor and part law enforcement officer. They assess needs with individualized supervision plans specific to each offender. Without a doubt, being a Probation Officer takes heart. Today's Guest is Kimberly Jefferson, Senior Correctional Probation Officer with The Office of Community Corrections in the State of Florida.
