So you don't have a background in STEM and you want to switch over to data science and analytics. Let me be that voice inside your head that says DO IT!!! I took the leap to elevate my career by pursuing Data Science and Analytics. I am here to tell you that you can do it too! It WILL be a challenge, but it makes the journey even more fun. I don't just think, I KNOW that with motivation and dedication it will be a rewarding career in so many ways!!!
Using the IBM HR Analytics Employee Attrition & Performance dataset from Kaggle, I did a check on learning with Hypothesis Testing to retain and practice the concepts. Using Python, Numpy, and Pandas, I explored applying this method to the IBM dataset in order to challenge Job Satisfaction vs Longevity. I have always assumed that if an employee is with a company for an extended period of time they are satisfied with the company. Join me as I discuss what I've learned about Hypothesis testing and discover the results! Link to my GitHub Link to my Website Email me tlkdata2me@gmail.com
Hey Newbies!!! I wanted to check in with you all and let you know where I am on my data science journey. It has been an amazing semester and I have a few plans to make sure the summer semester is amazing too!
During our extended spring break, I decided to go on a blind date with Machine Learning and Tensorflow! During this episode, I will cover a check on learning after taking Freecodecamp's recently released Machine Learning with Tensorflow course taught by Tim from "Tech with Tim". As a Data Science newbie, this course really helped me to get a great overview of Machine Learning and to get hands-on practice with a few datasets and to get ideas on how they can be used for future projects in my Masters in Data Science program! Here is a brief summary of what experience I have so far in learning data science including courses, programming languages, learning tools and more. The guide that I am using is “A comprehensive path to become a data scientist in 2020” on Analytics Vidhya.
Hi Everyone! Let’s dive into this journey with Charity as she explains her background as a Data Science Newbie (beginner), her plans for upcoming episodes and as she talks about the reason we’re all here...To learn data science 2gether!
