Following the French elections, we brought together 89ers and expert guest Alberto Alemanno to discuss the outcome, the challenges ahead for Macron, and the how the formerly dominant parties, the Parti Socialiste and Les Républicains, might recover. In early February, shortly before our Launch Conference, we gathered expert guest Dr Mareike Kleine and 89er Boris Ajeganov to try and predict the main factors shaping the upcoming year and major developments in European politics. Mareike Kleine is an Associate Professor of EU and International Politics at the European Institute, London School of Economics and Political Science.
