As we all navigate through our very own journeys of life, some of us may come to realize that we are constantly searching for something. We may not know what it is and it may not reveal itself until later in our lives but we are unconsciously searching. In this post, I want to discuss the Three Ps which are finding your purpose, aligning yourself with your path, and to remain persistent.
Most people often wonder how some successful individuals go from having the bare minimum to having an abundant amount of content, wealth, and even experiences. Or how about how the individual seems to have become something that you are striving for overnight? Consistency is their key to this formation and with it, this plants the seeds of growth for their future.
Are you in a situation that is stressing you out but choose not to leave? Are you always looking for another opportunity but find ways to discourage yourself from making the transition? This is something I call becoming comfortable being uncomfortable. It happens to some of us but allow me to elaborate for a better understanding.
Today is not like yesterday, and yesterday is different from last week. Why, because you have been building a foundation for yourself. You have been creating something solid for yourself to stand on and this slab cannot be damaged by anyone else. This is what I say to myself every morning as soon as I awake so that I can shine before I rise. Allow me to elaborate on this thought method.
Society, while not entirely, can shape our minds and beliefs whether we want it to or not. In this particular post, I am referring to how society can make one feel like quitting something is a symbol of giving up. But what about the things that are hurting us, preventing us from growing, or even stressing us out? Is that good for our mental state and spirit? Allow me to share a few points in encouraging yourself to grow from the situation.
A review and a few of my experiences that help build the Talking with Chivalry podcast from 2021. Also my goals for the podcast, the Chivalry Jones brand in 2022, and a few projects I will be working on. Tune it!
Have you ever felt that something or someone is draining the energy, life force, or the love out of you? Do you feel like if you remove yourself from the situation that you would be considered a quitting or giving up? Well in this post, I just want to provide and highlight an insight to a way of thinking. Sometimes it is best to learn from the experience and let go than to let it draw your vitality.
During these times where people are resigning from their jobs, pursuing different careers, and even building their own brands for businesses in record numbers, I often ask myself, what makes one person motivated to do so and another not? What made even me quit my job after 12 years and begin to pursue my vision? So I researched myself and broke my process down in a way that I believe can be relatable to the majority of us. That process is figuring out your destination, your vehicle, and your fuel.
Ever come across an idea, thought, or had a wish and thought that would be truly great for me to pursue? Or even saw someone else pursing a particular line of work that always sought for yourself. Did you act on it then and there or did you put it off until never? These are the type of situations we should be preparing ourselves for when we should pursue opportunities when they may present themselves.
As I have gotten older and wiser, I have noticed that the more you give, the more that you will receive. This may sound cliché but I find it to be truer each and every day. By giving and providing value, we are putting ourselves within a position or aligning one’s self into an abundance of wealth.
From the moment we are conceived, our sole purpose is to grow, adapt, and become independent in order to survive. As we become of age, we may tend to slow down our growth and become more stagnate, complacent, and conform to situations that may not be right for us. In this post, I will highlight just three of the many areas in my life that I plan to continuously grow and excel in. Mind, body, and family.
Because as we all grow and become the people that we are to become, there are choices that we must make throughout our lives. Sometimes we may feel that we have multiple choices but in actuality, we only have two. To do and pursue or not to do and ignore. Either we begin following whatever path that we like or we choose to put it off again and again. Your choices are between the two.
When an idea comes to mind, we typically will visualize the big or finished picture. Looking at the puzzle as complete so to speak. We also may ignore the process that it will take to get to that complete picture. Or even decide not to pursue the goal because of the process to begin with. But just like completing that same puzzle, without connecting the right pieces together, it will be impossible to turn that idea into a reality.
Most people have heard about the phrase of betting on yourself but if you haven’t, I would like to give my own insight to the phrase. It simply means to practically capitalize on yourself. To find a way to discover your true talent and go all in on yourself. To look within yourself as an opportunity rather than others. Is it a gamble when you know what you are capable of?
I have not considered myself an investor for very long. If you ask me, I would say that I started about 2017. But after hours of searching for the best, most passive, least amount of effort investment that I could find, I just could not simply find it. It was only until recently that I realized that it was right in front of me the whole time. I knew it all along and didn’t notice it at all. It is TIME… time is the best investment that you can invest in.
As we go through life, we take on challenges and opportunities that we feel may just happen to us by random occurrence. The speeding driver jumped in our lane without a turn signal or someone held the door open for you while it was raining. Some maybe good and some bad but it is only after the experience that we can truly reflect on what we just went through. Some people may not take the time to reflect and reveal the experience and learn from the lesson. This session will try to highlight this part of an experience to better help you understand life’s funny way of teaching.
Have you ever heard the old saying that if you want something as much as you want to breathe, that it will in time become yours? That is a statement that has come true multiple times in my life. While I may have not gotten my desires right away, with patience and perseverance, they do ultimately become mine.
Everyone has their own unique path to follow in life and it is up to that individual to pursue the one that they choose. We may go down one path and realize that we should’ve picked another. Or we may be torn between several paths and too afraid to pick one. To help with that decision, I like to reference a tree and its leaves to anyone that may need help with selecting their course of action.
Active and passive income are two of the ways that one can bring in revenue to support their lifestyles. Most people may like to think of it as you should pick a side and one could be better than the other. Well my message for inspiration is that why not enjoy both? Why not enjoy making them work together and build a life that you love to wake up to every morning?
There are goals or objects in life that we would like to have. Then there are goals or objects that we must have. Possessions that we would try to obtain by any means necessary. We adapt, we restructure our methods, and we develop new ways to reach that goal. By doing this, we are becoming resilient to the situation and choosing to win at all cost.
