Cary Artac’s career started at the Chicago Board of Trade in 1986, where he devoted himself to learning the art and science of effective technical analysis, eventually becoming a renowned advisor within Chicago’s greater floor-trading community. His latest venture is WickedStocks.com – a subscriber service that he began with his son and daughter. They publish daily market analysis and strategies on the SPY and QQQ etfs, as well as two weekly stock ideas, with technical analysis as a primary tool. Kim Ann Curtin has been The Wall Street Coach for 18 years. Formerly an executive within a hedge fund, she found her “bliss” in coaching in 2007. During 2008 after the financial crisis, she began coaching traders – many who were in need of some help at the time. She is now based in Hawaii where she runs her coaching business and hosts her own weekly podcast, “The Wall Street Coach with Kim Ann Curtin”. Evan Medeiros was a professional poker player while he studied computer science at university. After online gambling became illegal in the US, he turned his poker playing skills over to the stock market. James Eaton exudes positivity. He has a real “can-do” attitude. It made for a really refreshing, insightful interview. He began his working career as a personal trainer. That allowed him time to learn about trading and he was quickly immersed in it. He’s since taken to trading full time and he goes about it in a very disciplined way. Some interviews just hit the right note. This is one of them where it felt like we could continue talking for hours. His approach is authentic. His experience shines through. Riding big trends is the aspiration of many traders, but it’s not easy to do. Trends often try to throw us off them when human emotions get in the way. Richard Brennan has developed an ensemble of strategies that seek to capture big breakouts and trending moves that become outliers in a dataset. He refers to it as “hunting outliers”.
