#Talks4Change is a podcast series hosted by Curtin's Young Alumni Advisory Board (YAAB), for young alumni.

It is our aim to share innovative ideas that inspire change across various disciplines, while creating a community of sharing opportunities and dialogue with graduates under the age of 35.

We will be bringing you new and exciting episodes each month with topics varying from; how to start your own business, overcoming ageism, learning to follow your gut and how to take the next big step in your career.

In this episode of #Talks4Change, our host Milan Mathew talks to Curtin graduate Samreid Manez - the CEO of an EduTech start-up called ManezCo. Samreid graduated from Curtin with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Geology, but instead of pursuing a career in the mining industry, he found a passion for education. Based here in Perth, his team have been working hard to create a modern educational platform for school students to utilise personal and ubiquitous learning.

Together, Mary and Janelle have recognised the potential opportunity of utilising the huge amount of wasted mangoes in Australia and decided to start their own initiative called ‘The Mango Project’. Post retirement from synchronised swimming after 18 years and a career that was spread over an Olympic Games & 3 World Championships, Danielle set out on achieving her next dream of sharing her inspirational story and message with the world through her book “The Unlikely Olympian”. In this episode of #Talks4Change, our host Kat Penno speaks to Curtin graduate Nick Maisey who studied a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy. Since graduating, Nick has gone on to become a social entrepreneur, community builder, values-based leader and all-round great community contributor. In this episode of #Talks4Change, host Luke Webster is back! This month he's speaking with Curtin graduate Pia Munindradasa. Pia studied fashion at Curtin, but her career has taken a very different path. Her passion and experience has lead her to work within higher education, social justice, and community and equity engagement. She is passionate about people and finding sustainable solutions to local issues. Pia has created and been involved with many life-changing initiatives including pioneering new opportunities for people in prison to access higher education as a form of rehabilitation and personal growth.
