In the final episode for the year 2020, our host Milan Mathew talks to Curtin graduate Marcus Wong - a humanitarian filmmaker and photographer who works with grassroot NGOs to help them tell their stories through visual storytelling. Marcus’s work has taken him to Uganda, Ethiopia, Bangladesh and to rural Australian communities. Samreid graduated from Curtin with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Geology, but instead of pursuing a career in the mining industry, he found a passion for education. Pia studied fashion at Curtin, but her career has taken a very different path. Her passion and experience has lead her to work within higher education, social justice, and community and equity engagement. Pia has created and been involved with many life-changing initiatives including pioneering new opportunities for people in prison to access higher education as a form of rehabilitation and personal growth.
