I invite yourself to the contemplations around community and having enough resources.  Tapping is in the next episode. Photo by Markus Spiske

Finding the flow #115

Our year-in-review:  the interweaving of the macro areas of our lives What changes have you made, what has shifted, that you want to celebrate and acknowledge? Which area feels that it has some tension and an unresolved question? Appreciating those areas which flow smoothly and do not require much thought or attention from you. What area is showing up as wanting to expand this year? Tapping included at the end.
A podcast exploring: The one percent who are curious, passionate, strong and smart, here to make a difference and have an impact, living life fully with an open heart and a curious mind. Recognizing how what makes us unique and sensitive, smart and curious is also what contributed to some feelings of being left out, of not fitting in. Myers Briggs, DiSC, Human Design can all show us how we are wired so we can just be more gentle with accepting ourselves “If I had embraced who I really was, others would have noticed I didn’t fit in.” Tapping included at the end on “Not Fitting In” Photo by Nik Shuliahin
The brilliance of who you are. Those questions that keep us off-center. The real meaning of the Enneagram. Your life journey questions … perhaps unanswerable for yourself and definitely a gift for others. The gifts of each enneatype (you don’t have to know your type to benefit from this… ) What Human Design shows us in our defined and undefined centers. What’s my purpose? What’s my value? How do I know for sure? Am I safe? Am I whole? Photo by Mantas Hesthaven
In this podcast #18, join me as I explore our children’s past medical procedures and surgeries.  In this tapping demonstration, you can hear the tension, and later relief, in my voice as I talk and tap about an unexpected blood draw in the doctor’s office for my baby.  Aspects include: The look of shock on my child’s face. “I didn’t know enough to ask”:  the sense of being tricked by the doctor’s staff and not being informed enough ahead of time. The decisions we make so that it won’t happen again. You can use this tapping for your past child’s medical event where there’s some residual tension or angst.  Please only listen to this podcast if you will be able to tap while listening.
In the last podcast, I tapped on a blood draw on my baby in the doctor’s office and how I had felt surprised and tricked.  This time I talk about making decisions.  There is a flow in how we become more confident in our decisions. I delineate the growth of decision making as moving through these levels: Innocent decision: no idea that something bad could happen, and we innocently go along with the flow. Have a sense that something feels uncomfortable, but others override us. Have a strong sense, but we override ourselves. Make an intuitive connected decision, but something still goes wrong. I do tapping on decisions that we regret which leads us to learning to trust ourselves and also acknowledging the love we hold as mothers.  Now I am quite liberal with the words “wrong” and “mistake”.  That’s because some of the self-talk I have does use those words.  At the same time, I can see and know the beautiful unfolding and know that nothing is ever a true mistake. But for the purposes of tapping, I’m using that language to help poke a hole in that constriction! Photo by Yannick Menard
In this third and final podcast on surviving our children’s surgeries, I talk about a few things.  One is how wonderful my son’s current medical procedure went and how tapping supported both of us throughout.  The second thing I share is the profound insight I had that shifted everything around the topic of medical care for my children. Finally, I lay out the three areas I tapped on and tuned into as I released old stuff on the subject of mother’s intuition and medicine. Transforming our response as parents can happen when we: Tap on physical events that have happened that still cause us tension. Tap on our emotional responses as a parent. Acknowledge the progress we’ve made and the resources we’ve developed. Photo by Joshua Reddekopp
