The water is flowing, the metaphorical arrow is flying through the air -- finally, with the month of October comes the movement, clarity, and expansion we've been waiting for. The theme of the month ahead is Create, and if we're willing to work with it, we can make extraordinary moves in our lives. The big work we will be doing this month isn't actually in the act of creating itself, but the resistance and inner protection that lies between us and this proverbial river, or arrow. The key for us will be to hold the aspects of us that have misgivings and doubts about this process, while taking those longed for leaps into creation and movement at the same time. September isn't likely to be the month we want, but it is the one we need. The theme for the month ahead is Dissatisfaction, not necessarily because it is an altogether negative or unacceptable cycle of time, it's just not necessarily tending to our larger desires and concerns. It is a piece of tape for a very large leak -- not ultimately the most ideal tool, but there is medicine in what it's offering. Our job this month will be to: 1. Work with and surrender to the Eclipses, 2. Align ourselves with the nourishment of the cards we pulled in this reading, and: 3. Remember that it is a 9/Hermit year. Ultimately completely dissatisfying, if we're seeking linearity, answers to our questions, and insight on what to do next. Slow, spiralic, soft, and ceremonial is the best way to move through this month ahead. Finally -- after what has felt like forever -- August gets things moving, flowing, and clicking again. The theme of this month is Catapult for a reason. This isn't a chaotic, frantic, frightening launch into the void. We have been preparing for this for a long time, a time when we finally get some clarity, or are able to move the needle in some longed-for way. The "catapult" in question is a sacred, measured, and joyful collaboration with the muses, a serve and return that we've been waiting for. The key for this month? To trust that you are actually ready to receive this. You're ready to move. You're ready to commit. You're more ready to move than you might believe. You have everything you need to do this. The theme for this month is Asking for What You Need. What is it that you need right now? How can you ask for it (to the degree that you're able to)? July wants to remind you that even the willingness to connect with what we need and desire is a spell. Writing it, praying for it, feeling it, and communicating that longing is all part of the process of tuning in with those needs. This is a watery, swirly, emotional month. It's going to bring us into some old stuff, some outdated debris -- once we face it, we can actually clear it and make way for something new. It's not really going to feel like it in an acute sense, but this month really is building to something important -- it is preparing us for a time of change and necessarily evolution. Coming home to who we are and what we need in this season of life -- and asking for it -- is the big work that lies ahead for all of us this month. June is a recalibration month of sorts. It's not that we won't be moving, working, and showing up where we're called to, but there will be quite a bit of emphasis on slowing down, tuning in, reevaluating, and perhaps more importantly, digesting. We might not always enjoy or appreciate that pace of things, but it is of huge benefit to us to lean into it. There's a lot to turn over and process before we can move forward into our next chapter. We need closure before we can move on, and that's precisely what June is helping us to take hold of. When we've lost our way, or are trying to find True North in our lives, the Tarot can be a beautiful tool to help us sense into our way again. But there is no deeper, clearer, finer compass in the Tarot than the Pages: four gloriously potent anchors that can assist us in coming home to the root of our heart, soul, and self. In today's episode, we discuss The Pages from a Soul Tarot perspective, looking at how they present themselves as sacred compasses, and how they occupy a very important role in the flow of the Minor Arcana from Ace to King. ******Transcript can be found on Spotify!LINKS:✨Almost sold out!! The clouds are parting, and sunlight is pouring through the curtains. We open the doors and windows, welcoming the fresh air and the light. We allow it to illuminate and touch upon all of the areas of our lives -- both beautiful and challenging -- that have been obscured and unclear for so long. For better or worse, movement and clarity are coming to us this month. What will we choose to do with it? What will we build, foster, and create with this space and time? The theme for the month of May is Let the Light In. It is a profoundly impactful cycle, with an equally powerful reading to match. There will finally be some forward momentum in May. May that movement and illumination be a blessing. ✨ Want some bonus medicine for the month ahead? As a collective, we are in a profoundly transitional time, crossing a bridge from who we were to who we are becoming. This is something that most of us are feeling on a personal level, too: who are we? What are we feeling called to offer to the world, and how can we be more clear and sure about how to go about it? Whether we are stuck at the gates with our writing process, in our careers, with our love life, with our next steps, or around another sensitive area, we are all feeling this call to pivot and shift. The theme for April is Chrysalis. We are no longer a caterpillar, and not completely in the in-between time of transmutation. We are now a fully formed butterfly, our chrysalis clear and transparent, right on the verge of eclosing and emerging from this container. April marks an important period of time where we will be engaging with the inner preparatory work necessary to come into the next iteration of our lives. This month will likely not contain a ton of big clear moments of direction, or a-ha's about what to do next in the way that our ego and heart might long for them. But we are so close to that clarity -- April is going to help us to move into the next phase of our lives, and this reading can help us to understand how to engage with the invitations at hand. Welcome to a new month, and with it, a new (jumbo sized!) Monthly Medicine episode of Tarot for the Wild Soul podcast! In this episode of the podcast, we dive into the themes, invitations, lessons, and medicine of the month ahead, looking to our collective Tarot reading for March as a compass. This episode of the podcast is a little longer because March is going to be a doozy, to say the least. Between massive eclipses and major retrogrades, the energetics of the month ahead will likely be wildly intense. March is going to be serving up big collective invitations, but it's working on us at the personal level in really strong ways, too. The theme for March is You Can Do It. You can do it. You were born for these times. The question for the month ahead seems to be: how can we love ourselves through it? How can we be there for each other? How can we hold ourselves accountable, facing what's ready to be processed, acknowledged, and witnessed with the softest, most courageous heart we can muster? We will explore those questions (and so much more) in today's episode. Lindsey, I have to tell you I've been blown away with these last couple of months podcasts of yours, which is when I started listening to them. Everything you've been addressing is exactly what I have been going through. Today, once again I tuned in and was again amazed at how this is spot on with me. I am truly amazed. I am also pleased to hear that these are bigger energies and not just me going on with me. Thanks so much for sharing your Medicine with us.
you just lost me as a subscriber. I'm here to learn about tarot and what these things mean for our lives. telling people to get a booster for a "vaccine" has NOTHING to do with tarot.
omg this podcast was one of the most potent, empowering, perfectly confronting and beautiful ones I have listened too. actual tears thank you 🥰 for the medicine
This card popped up into my life three times today and this episode one of them. 3 has always been a powerful number for me. Thank you for this episode! I’m taking this as a sign to embrace my femininity, passion, and creativity!
amazing... this resonated with me sooooooooooo deeply. thank you.
sacred compost hahahahahahah
Wow I was down to try this podcast until you got all sappy and apologetic about not being perfectly pc in your answer to that listener question.
is there a podcast about the meaning of the vertical lines in the major arcana
Awesome advice. Shifting our thinking as well as how we verbalize our inner thoughts needs to be shifted. Giving and Receiving is key to the outpouring of blessings.
This podcast is soul food. I love the way Linday presents and explains tarot, its about something a lot bigger than a deck of cards. Her monthly medicine episodes give me chills. They are consistently spot on and I listen to them over and over throughout the month as a beautiful reminder to keep living in alignment. I feel held and supported by the monthly medicine as I never have before by any other teacher or offering. Immensely grateful for Lindsay sharing her magic with us.
what an amazing episode. I love the insights into how our vices make us feel about ourselves and how that is the most important aspect of the devil energy. Wow!
wow I am african American and I recently bought the mother piece tarot deck because of its use of people of color and your suggestion. In the world we live in it can be hard to find any sort of reprensentaion of people who have any sort of pigmentation in there skin.I'm so sad to here this darker history. I will say this lydsey mac. thank you. I have never felt more seen. thank you for sharing and being honest with your thinking around not using mother piece anymore. I haven't decided my path yet. a part of me thinks "is this the best I can get" and another says "at least we are there at least these white women though of us when they made the deck." I'm a literature major and reading outdated texts and old ways of thinking is still powerful. I don't feel ready to let go of the motherpiece yet. there is value at looking at tools of the past. but I don't think it will be able to be my soul deck all have to find something else.if you have suggestions I would love them!! Today I pulled t
