A sponsor said something to me recently that made me stop and think about reputation in a whole new way.In this episode, I’m unpacking what the “halo effect” looks like in real life, and why people are watching how you do business long before they ever buy from you. You’ll learn what your audience is actually noticing (your follow up, your communication, your delivery, and how it feels to be in your world), plus how to build trust without trying to sound impressive or salesy.I’ll also share how to make your process more visible in a way that feels natural, so your credibility speaks for itself and selling starts to feel a whole lot easier.LINKS:Website: https://tea-with-the-queen.captivate.fm/linkedin For a copy of Emma's book, 'Go-getter: Raise your mojo, shift your mindset and thrive' – https://emmamcqueen.com.au/want-more/emmas-book/YouTube ChannelBD Sprint:https://emmamcqueen.com.au/coaching-services/bd-sprint/Mentioned in this episode:Style BundleInstagram:

If your business feels busy but growth feels slow, the answer is usually in the audit you haven’t done yet. In this episode, I’m going to show you how to audit your business offers so you can spot what’s working in your business and see whether your next level might already exist in the offers, content and sales you’ve already created.I’ll talk about why constant creation is exhausting, and why the real discipline is choosing which ideas deserve your time, energy and attention. I’ll also walk you through what to look for when you review past offerings, especially the ones that worked and then somehow disappeared from your calendar. We’ll cover why clarity and simplicity make selling easier, and how simplifying your offers can strengthen your message and customer journey. If you’ve been trying to solve every growth issue with more marketing, this will help you zoom out and see what’s actually needed, including the business systems that make growth feel lighter. We’ll finish with practical questions to guide your audit, including what to relaunch, what to automate, what to delegate, and what to ditch, so you can build momentum without creating more work than necessary.Website: https://tea-with-the-queen.captivate.fm/linkedin For a copy of Emma's book, 'Go-getter: Raise your mojo, shift your mindset and thrive' – https://emmamcqueen.com.au/want-more/emmas-book/YouTube ChannelBD Sprint:https://emmamcqueen.com.au/coaching-services/bd-sprint/Mentioned in this episode:Style BundleInstagram:

If you’ve been avoiding your numbers, you’re not alone. I’ve coached hundreds of business owners and I’ve seen smart, capable women do everything except open their profit and loss statement, then wonder why decision-making feels stressful and reactive.Xero accounting software can be a great choice for small business owners. When you can see what’s coming in, what’s going out, and which revenue streams are performing, you stop relying on how busy you feel and you start relying on data.I walk you through my Financial Fridays practice, how I track revenue streams inside Xero, and how I compare months, quarters, and years to spot patterns early. We also cover cash vs accrual in Xero, because I know this is confusing for small business owners. If you want more financial confidence, start with one report and one number this week. Open Xero, look with curiosity, and give yourself the clarity that makes better decisions possible.Chapter markers00:00 Introduction01:09 Why I love Xero and why visibility matters02:22 Tracking revenue streams inside Xero03:55 Comparing months, quarters, and years04:55 Cash vs accrual in Xero explained06:26 Stop only checking numbers at tax time07:06 Financial confidence is your jobLINKS:Emma McQueen:WebsiteLinkedin: https://tea-with-the-queen.captivate.fm/linkedin For a copy of Emma's book, 'Go-getter: Raise your mojo, shift your mindset and thrive' – https://emmamcqueen.com.au/want-more/emmas-book/YouTube ChannelDay With The Queen Event - October 22nd: https://emmamcqueen.com.au/events/day-with-the-queen/BD Sprint:https://emmamcqueen.com.au/coaching-services/bd-sprint/Mentioned in this episode:Day With The Queen
A big revenue month can still mean a broke business. This episode is about the cash flow management shift that stops you seeing a healthy bank balance and assuming you’ve got spending money, because that money already has jobs waiting for it.You’ll hear why revenue is only the starting point, and why your business account needs to be treated like its own entity with real responsibilities attached. We’ll also unpack the stress that comes from leaving everything in one account, then trying to work out what’s available, what’s committed, and what belongs to the ATO.I walk you through my simple three-bucket method, including how I separate daily expenses, tax, and profit, and why this system makes business cash flow feel clearer almost immediately. You’ll also hear the mindset shift behind creating profit intentionally, even when you’re starting small. We finish with a practical weekly money check-in that keeps you calm and in control, plus a few questions to ask yourself the next time money lands in your account. If you’ve been winging it and hoping there’s enough left when BAS rolls around, this will help you get a plan in place without making it complicated.Emma McQueen:Website: https://tea-with-the-queen.captivate.fm/linkedin For a copy of Emma's book, 'Go-getter: Raise your mojo, shift your mindset and thrive' – https://emmamcqueen.com.au/want-more/emmas-book/YouTube ChannelBD Sprint:https://emmamcqueen.com.au/coaching-services/bd-sprint/Mentioned in this episode:Day With The Queen
Somewhere along the way, a lot of women end up running their business like a corporate job they never even wanted. You sit at the desk because you think you should, you wait for “lunchtime” to eat, and you feel weird about going for a walk at 2pm, even when the work is done.Mixing business and personal is the focus in this episode. It’s clear to me that the old rules around “professionalism” often don’t fit the way we run businesses today.I’m sharing the corporate rule book I grew up with, and how I accidentally brought it into my own business without questioning it. Then I’ll walk you through what changed when I started rewriting the rules, building a schedule that suits my energy, and letting business relationships be real. Boundaries matter, but boundaries do not have to mean walls, and you can take your business seriously without taking yourself too seriously.Should you be friends with clients, are you “allowed” to work differently and what does it mean to run a business on your own terms with your own boundaries. At the end, I’ll give you a set of questions to help you spot the rules you’re following on autopilot, and choose what stays.Chapter markers 00:00 Introduction00:19 Corporate Rulebook Legacy01:25 Recreating Corporate Freedom02:48 Rewrite Your Workday03:53 Blurring Client Boundaries05:32 Finding Your Business Village06:24 Question Your Old Rules07:17 Homework And BoundariesLINKS:Emma McQueen:WebsiteLinkedin For a copy of Emma's book, 'Go-getter: Raise your mojo, shift your mindset and thrive' – https://emmamcqueen.com.au/want-more/emmas-book/YouTube ChannelBD Sprint:https://emmamcqueen.com.au/coaching-services/bd-sprint/Mentioned in this episode:Day With The Queen
