Lead Data Journalist Noah Holtgraves says while two thirds of the people questioned in the survey have used AI to assist with travel plans…“When we asked how they would feel if someone they knew told them that they were about to take a fully AI planned trip, nearly half said that they would feel hesitant or even try to talk someone out of taking a fully AI planned trip. So there’s clearly some concern there, some trust issues.”But as AI continues to improve…some of those trust issues may lessen. The new 360 degree Max 2 camera has lenses on front and back…and the company’s Chris Prado says one great new feature is…those lenses are easily replaceable…“This is something that our users really requested with Max One. Before, you would scratch a lens and your camera was a write off. It was four hundred dollars down the drain, which is a really big bummer if you’ve been saving up and you’re really excited for this camera. With Max 2, you can just swap the lens and it takes 30 seconds. It works like any kind of DSLR product that you’re familiar with. Put it on, twist and go.”Very smart design. The College Board offers practice tests and other free resources online. There are some new Echo devices….the Dot Max and the Echo Studio coming from Amazon, they are available for pre-order now…along with new Echo Show models. And they are designed for Alexa Plus, which brings more AI into the home. They will be able to recognize you with the built in cameras and deliver personalized content without you having to ask. And Amazon has announced the Kindle Scribe Colorsoft, a new version of the company’s writing tablet…now in full color. It is due to arrive later in the year with a price tag of more than six hundred dollars. On the TV front…there’s a new Fire TV Stick 4K Select and new Omni QLED Series TVs as well. In this episode, we’ll take a look at what Google is doing with Gemini for Home. The great news here is Google’s support for core Nest devices, including Nest Thermostat models since 2015. For cameras, adding Gemini into he mix is game changing. According to Google’s blog post…instead of a camera notifying you that a person was detected…your camera can tell you it saw Robin walking with flowers. Automations…to control lights and other devices are easier to create too with the new Google Home app. And the new capabilities will be available on third party devices as well, including the new onn cameras and doorbells from Walmart.
