It's Group Therapy Thursday day! Dear Ted and Amy,I just purchased a family photography session from a local photographer. Upon check out there is a prompt to add a tip. Is it customary to tip a photographer? If so, am I obligated? I feel this session was already pricey and this business is a one person operation, the fees go directly to the photographer. The package is $375 for a 20 minute session that includes 6 digital edits. I think this business has a great reputation however adding on to the already high price seems like too much to me. Marnie writes:  My mom passed away when I was 23 years old after a 3-year battle with cancer. When she passed, it was obviously the most devastating time in my life. Unknown to me; she had written her parents/my grandparents, her siblings/my aunts(uncles), and myself individual letters that were sealed in our own envelopes. She had told one of my aunts where all her important papers could be found when she passed, and the letters were put in there by my mom.Although the entire letter is very personal to me the line that sticks out to me the most was the very last line; “And even after I am gone, I’m always gonna be with you, You can count on that. All My Love, Mom XO<3”.Kyle was able to take my mom’s letter and perfectly put it on my left calf. I didn't want anything fancy other than her simple handwriting as she wrote it to me. He did an amazing job copying her exact handwriting and now as I continue to walk through life without her, she will always be walking along with me through this tattoo. It's Group Therapy Thursday!   Dear Ted and Amy, I have a female friend that comes to town every so often and frequently when we go out, we are joined by another of her female friends who lives here. We’ve all hung out a bunch of times and she seems to enjoy my company. I recently got invited to a party and our mutual friend couldn’t come in for the night, so I sent a message to this other girl on Instagram (I didn’t have her cell number) to see if she wanted to go with me. She did, so we met at the location and I thought we a great time. We talked about meeting up again so that week I sent her another Instagram message and asked for her cell number to coordinate. She didn’t get back to me right away but I didn’t think much about it. Again, I reached out and asked for her number to communicate since it's a pain to always be on Instagram. She just ignored the request and told me (through Instagram) she was looking forward to meeting up again. At this point, I’m thinking that she doesn’t want to give me her cell number and I can’t quite figure out why? She still wants to hang out, but I have to say, I’m taking it personally that she likes when I pay for her drinks and introduce her to fun people at parties, but she doesn’t want to get close enough to share her number? Is that weird? Our mutual friend said she thinks I should just get over it but aren't I right to be irritated or at least confused? I should also mention we're both in our fifties which makes it even more bizarre.
