This week Power Rangers decides to do another episode where a monster is nice but its much weirder than the Wasp episode from In Space as Eric randomly decides he really, really wants to kill all mutants. Then, an Eric focused episode where we see Eric’s home life and Zack absolutely loses his mind over this jerk having a cute little house with a garden and birds that he dotes on. Plus: Open Dress Shirt
This is kind of a weird one-two this week! Katie stars in an extremely weird time travel episode, and then Wes is an Emotionally Manipulative Baby and Iris gets very mad about it! Also, Ghosts are real!
Eric (the character, not our editor) gets control of the Q-Rex and is leading the Silver Guardians, and that’s fine I guess but we all much prefer the one-off episode this week!Mr. Collins tries to reverse-engineer the power rangers weapons to give to a PMC, a plot that does NOT feel power rangers, and Lucas (The character, not our friend, gosh this season is tough for this) escorts around a little girl and protects her from the most petty monster since Rita Repulsa!
We really get into the section that is just absolutely designed to confuse the hell out of our editor Eric by talking so much about the character, Eric, who this episode becomes the Quantum Ranger, and also gets fully bodied by A REAL T-REX BECAUSE THEY GO BACK TO DINOSAUR TIMES.Plus we just really delve into what exactly IS this dude’s complex. Toxic Gay Pairing? Daddy Issues? All of the above?
Trip gets sad that he isn’t like the other rangers and makes some poor choices, and then Wes’ Dad forms a PMC. The plots this week don’t exactly have equal weight?We also talk about how bad the internet used to be (and of course its perfectly fine now!)
The Rangers get an incredibly cool new Zord that loves to jump around in a very funny future set and kicks a lot of ass! And then Katie gets a spotlight episode and uh… is perhaps asked to handle some acting it was unfair to ask her actress to lift, but you be the judge!
We are joined once again by Fabby as she fills us in on Ultra Man and Dr Who, Emily catches us up on what’s going on in Time Ranger, and Zack tells us about how much he loves when Circuit talks about Jelly Beans and other wacky comedy. Oh plus Jen tries to murder a monster in cold blood but apparently we DONT like that now, and we are filled in on what exactly Frax’s deal is, and… does this season have kind of a lot of plot maybe?
Zack and Matt team up to discuss games they’ve been playing and Devil May Cry, plus the extremely weird combo of a Spider episode and a Ditzy Dana episode back to back!
In a million years I’d never have made the guess that Chad’s Mermaid Girlfriend returns, but here she is, and it turns out she can just grow legs! Plus, maybe Roman Myths are real?Also Jinxer turns into a very weird looking dude and hypnotizes Captain Mitchell and we debate whether its horny or not!
Morgan, Matt, and Lucas join Zack for what almost certainly the least liked Power Rangers Teamup, between the Lost Galaxy Rangers, The Lightspeed Rescue Rangers, and a little girl who is DEFINITELY the main character.
Also we talk about Acceptable Reasons For Late Podcasts, why babies are so fragile, and behind the scenes drama!
