Description
Like a 'Show and Tell', but with less showing because you can't see us, and more telling because you can only hear us.
Co-Hosts Katie and Ryan discuss a topic that they've been interested in recently, from strange stories to historical titbits and more, in a light-hearted and (hopefully) comedic manner.
If you wanna hear an autistic couple infodump about miscellaneous garbage for about an hour or so, you're in the right place!

It was Ryan's birthday recently! Keeping in our birthday fashion, this episode was based on both of his names, leading to us talking about the various towns named Ryan in the USA, and about the incredible figure of David 'Tiger' Roche!

It's the taint episode, because it taint Halloween and it taint Christmas! We have another "exciting" installment of Year-Eka, where we look at the hallmark year of 1607. Then, Katie tells us about the history of blackened teeth, and how it's only historically a bad thing for Europeans!

Go to twitch.tv/telldontshow every Sunday at 7:30 BST if you're interested! We've never streamed before so it's sure to be a train wreck, but hopefully an amusing one!
It's still September, this counts as the September episode! In this (definitely not delayed) instalment, we continue our apparently recurring segment "Year-Eka!" by talking about the Year 363 CE, and what a year it was! Then, we talk about just a small fraction of the countless Dumplings that can be found all across the world, from Suet Dumplings to Pierogi to Mandu and more!

Our second Dumpling is out, and WOW is it late! Regardless, we talk about a series of Warhammer 40,000 comedy-military novels by Sandy Mitchell- the Ciaphas Cain series! The books are great, and hopefully this episode explains why. Expect a full Infodump in the next few days also!
Not only is this episode later than usual, it's also much shorter! First, we discuss the rodent that is not a rodent, the Hyrax, before we give a definitive rundown of the Year 1 CE in a new recurring segment, Year-eka! It's an absolute mess of a segment, I'm very proud.

The first long-overdue Dumpling is here! Dumplings are mini-episodes (minisodes?) or interstitial episodes (intersodes?) that focus on things we want to talk about, but can't really fit into the format of the regular Infodumps. They are smaller infodumps, so they are infodumplings, or just Dumplings.
This inaugural Dumpling focuses on our annual tradition of "Wacky Willy the Whale's Wild Ride", a game wherein we use dice to randomly build a sandwich and then compete to see who can force down the inevitable abomination we've created! After two years of losses, can Ryan finally at least force a tie?
Happy 10th Episode! We don't mention that once in the podcast, but don't mind that. Instead, we first learn about the thousands of years of history behind board games, and then discuss the corrupt Thief-Taker General of England, Johnathan Wild!

It was Katie's birthday recently! As a result, we chose to do an episode based on her name, resulting in a discussion of esteemed mathematician and icon of empowerment Katherine Johnson, AND of Saint Hilda of Whitby and her famous Abbey, on this ninth episode of "TELL, DON'T SHOW".

In this episode of Tell Don't Show (which was supposed to release in April, oops) Katie talks about a man who made his fortune sewing goat testicles into people, and yet actually made important contributions to radio, somehow- John R. Brinkley. Then, Ryan goes on an hour long ramble about the ridiculous main storyline for Call of Duty Zombies... for some reason. We recorded it twice, and the first time it took him two and a half hours, so be thankful it's this short.

In this LOST EPISODE originally recorded in June 2021 (before we got bored of editing a podcast for a while) we discuss Real-Life Superheroes the world over, before briefly discussing that one time in Panama when an American stole a slice of watermelon and sparked an international incident.

Two classic historical characters are discussed in this fifth episode of "TELL, DON'T SHOW". First, we discuss the absolute luck and lunacy of the self-appointed Lord Timothy Dexter of Massachusetts, before moving on to discuss the man behind the oldest known written complain in history, the infamous Ea-Nasir.

For our fourth episode of "TELL, DON'T SHOW", Ryan gets a little bit carried away with his research on the history of methamphetamine, whilst Katie gets sucked down the existential rabbit-hole of learning about everyone's favourite immortal rodents, Naked Mole Rats.

On this third episode of "TELL, DON'T SHOW", we discuss the incredible eccentricity of Turkmenistan's late, not-so-great dictator, the Turkmenbasy Saparmurat Niyazov, before shifting the conversation to something a little more light-hearted: the time a US Navy Officer abused an AI so terribly that it could feel nothing but pain, prompting severe online backlash.

CONTENT WARNING: This podcast contains descriptions of violence against a creature described like a child. This creature is part of a video game, but nonetheless descriptions of what was done to them may be upsetting.
On our second episode of "TELL, DON'T SHOW", we first talk about the absolutely insane life story of Adam Sandler (not THAT Adam Sandler), the Anti-Semitic Evil Elmo of New York City, a tale which includes everything from racism to blackmailing Girl Scouts to illegal Cambodian porn sites. We also uncover the somewhat comedic, somewhat tragic story of Mary Toft, a newly-wed woman in early 18th Century England whose propensity for birthing dead rabbit parts confounded the King's greatest medical advisors.
