Biblical communication isn’t just about getting our children to listen or obey—it’s about shepherding their hearts. It’s discipleship. This episode is for every parent or grandparent who has ever struggled to know what to say, how to say it, or when to say it. We’re looking at what it means to communicate with grace, listen with patience, and speak the truth in love—whether with toddlers, teens, or adult children. God has given us the beautiful calling of pointing our children to Christ—and one of the most powerful tools He’s given us to do that is our words. In this episode, I’m joined by eleven dear friends who share what their time in God’s Word looks like in their current season of life. You’ll hear from women in different stages—homeschooling moms, empty nesters, full-time workers, caregivers, young adults—each finding simple, real-life ways to stay in the Word. Their routines may look different, but their hearts are the same: to draw near to Christ. My prayer is that their honest, grace-filled reflections encourage you right where you are and remind you that spending time with the Lord isn’t about perfection—it’s about meeting with Him daily, however that looks in your season. Homemaking is so much more than just cooking and cleaning—it’s about creating the atmosphere of our homes. In today’s shorter devotional episode, I’m sharing a refreshed blog post that reminds us of the life-giving role the Lord has entrusted to us as Christian women. True peace in our homes doesn’t come from having everything just right or crossing off our to-do list. It comes from Christ reigning in our hearts. The more we abide in Him—through His Word, prayer, and obedience—the more His peace flows into how we love and serve our families. Because Jesus lives, every part of our lives is changed—not just our future but our everyday moments. His resurrection gives us hope when we’re weary, strength when we feel weak, and purpose in the unseen work of daily life. The empty tomb isn’t just something to celebrate once a year—it’s the foundation we build our lives on. How does the resurrection shape the way we trust God, love others, and walk through trials? This episode will encourage you to live in the light of this glorious truth every single day. What does it mean to walk in wisdom with eternity in view? So much of life is fleeting, but God calls us to set our hearts on what will last forever (Colossians 3:1-2). In this final episode of the Walking in Wisdom series, we’re stepping back to see the bigger picture—how wisdom not only guides our daily decisions but prepares us for eternity. ✅ Are we investing in what truly lasts—knowing Christ, growing in holiness, and pointing others to Him? ✅ Are we storing up treasures in heaven instead of being consumed by what will fade away? ✅ Are we living in light of eternity, keeping our eyes on Jesus? Jesus reminds us: “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth… but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven” (Matthew 6:19-20). This is about more than just wise choices for today—it’s about shaping our lives for eternity. This is the second episode in our Walking in Wisdom series, where we’re looking at how biblical wisdom shapes the way we live each day. Wisdom isn’t just for the big decisions—it’s for the small, everyday choices that shape our lives. In this episode, we’re talking about what it means to walk in wisdom in our daily routines, responsibilities, and relationships. How do we choose faithfulness over busyness? How can we speak with wisdom and listen with grace? What does it look like to seek God’s priorities in the middle of everyday life? Ephesians 5:15-16 reminds us to “look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time.” If you’ve ever felt stretched thin or overwhelmed, I pray this conversation encourages you to pause, seek the Lord, and trust that He will direct your steps. Wisdom isn’t just about knowledge—it’s about living in a way that honors the Lord in our daily choices. In a world full of distractions, how do we stay focused on what truly matters? In this episode, we begin a three-part series on Walking in Wisdom, looking at what biblical wisdom really is, how it differs from worldly wisdom, and how we can seek the Lord’s guidance in our everyday lives. We’ll explore Ephesians 5:15-16, where Paul urges us to walk carefully, making the best use of our time because the days are evil. Are we measuring our days by how much we accomplish, or by our faithfulness to the Lord? Are we seeking wisdom in the small, ordinary moments of life? Join me as we lay the foundation for walking in wisdom, trusting God’s Word to guide our steps. It's so easy to assume the worst about others—to misread a friend’s words, question someone’s motives, or let suspicion take root in our hearts. But 1 Corinthians 13:7 reminds us that love “believes all things” and “hopes all things.” What does that look like in daily life? It’s not about ignoring wisdom or discernment, but about extending grace, choosing trust over doubt, and reflecting the love of Christ in how we think about and respond to others. In this episode, we discuss why believing the best matters, why it’s often difficult, and how we can live this out in marriage, friendships, parenting, and church life. There’s freedom in choosing grace over suspicion, and it builds trust and unity in our relationships. My prayer is that this conversation encourages all of us to ask the Lord to shape our hearts to reflect His love more fully. As we step into the new year, I've been reflecting on how to keep Christ at the center of our lives this year. It's easy to feel overwhelmed by all the advice on productivity and goal-setting, but as believers, our ultimate goal is to glorify God in all we do. In today's episode I’m sharing five key areas to help us anchor our hearts in Christ: renewing our minds, redeeming our time, serving with humility, walking in gratitude and contentment, and keeping an eternal perspective. These priorities have been on my heart, and I pray they encourage you to set Christ-centered goals for the year ahead.  Join me as we fix our minds on things above and step into the year with purpose and joy. As Christian homemakers, wives, and mothers, our days are often filled with countless responsibilities, and it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. In today’s episode, we’re diving into the practice of a brain dump—a simple tool that can help clear the clutter in our minds and refocus our hearts on what truly matters: serving the Lord and our families. We’ll also discuss how to pair this with a reliable task management system, enabling us to steward our time and responsibilities more effectively.  As we walk through these practices together, let’s remember that our worth isn’t measured by our productivity or how perfectly we manage our homes. Our true worth is found in Christ alone. These tools are here to help us be faithful stewards of the time God has given us—not to strive for an impossible standard of perfection.  Don’t forget to check out the free PDF handout that goes along with this episode to help you get started! In today’s world, our smartphones have become almost indispensable. They keep us organized with calendars, to-do lists, and reminders. They keep us connected with family and friends through calls, texts, and social media. They entertain us with games, music, podcasts, and videos. However, today’s episode isn’t about getting rid of our smartphones; it’s about using them in a way that aligns with the gospel. Matthew 10:37 tells us that whoever loves anything more than Jesus is not worthy of Him. Our first desire must be to be wholly devoted to Jesus, ensuring that our smartphone use reflects that devotion. We need to be mindful of how our phones impact our spiritual lives, making sure they enhance rather than hinder our walk with Christ. We’re going to walk through how we can bring our use of technology back to the gospel, prioritizing our relationship with Jesus above all else. Marcy, I cannot thank you enough for this episode. I have been struggling so much with submitting to my husband in our marriage and this podcast spoke to me on levels I cannot even put into words. Jesus Christ has completely given me freedom from the resentful inner dialogue that has been on replay in my head all day long, through this episode and your presentation of His word. God has certainly used you to completely change my life and I am just so grateful and wanted you to know that you are making a difference in people's lives.
