Meet Jalea Kay MS, FLE Founder of Indigo Door Project Inc, a prevent child homelessness nonprofit focused on single parent households living in the Oklahoma City metropolitan area. For over 15 years Jalea has served families and communities as a leader, advocate, and behavioral health professional. Her specialty is working with diverse and at-risk populations to overcome barriers to personal and familial freedom. Her passion is connecting people to their purpose for the good of all! Meet Raven! Raven Crisp Smith is the founder and Executive Director of Selfless Hands Foundation, a non-profit organization that aims to provide assistance to those in need. She also works in Financial Management at Tinker Air Force Base. Raven received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Oklahoma State University and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Corporate Accounting at Oklahoma City University. Raven is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, serving in the Internal Financial Audit Committee and the Co-Chair of the Step and Stroll Committee for the Oklahoma City Chapter. She has been recognized for her community efforts, receiving awards such as the NextGen Under 30 award, On the Horizon Award, and the FY20 Financial Management Annual Award. Raven was also accepted into the LeaderShift Program, FBI Citizens Academy, and the NEOKC Nonprofit Cohort to strengthen her skills and leadership abilities. In her spare time, she enjoys creating new life experiences with her husband, Aczavius Smith, and spending time with her family. Raven's passion for volunteerism began in her childhood, and she has continued to carry it through her involvement in organizations such as the National Honors Society, Student Council, and Toastmasters International Club. Raven is dedicated to living her purpose through helping those in need and inspiring young people around her. Selfless Hands Foundation is a nonprofit committed to addressing economic and social conditions affecting individuals, families, and the community. Raven's work with Selfless Hands Foundation focuses on improving access to health care, food, and nutrition through programs such as Blessing Boxes and community fresh food distributions. She also advocates for family welfare and emergency crisis and disaster relief efforts, providing safe shelter, clothing, hygiene, and toiletry items, childcare items, emergency rent assistance, and recovery. Raven is dedicated to community development and building, including neighborhood revitalization efforts and annual community events, such as the Back-to-School Bash and Trunk-or-Treat. Her work with the Selfless Hands Foundation reflects her commitment to promoting healthier lives and supporting those in need.
