Gus Malzahn mentioned "Game Prep for Boise" as part of his press conference this week. Here's a look at what UCF fans need to know heading into the final countdown before game time.
Overview of how the 2022 recruiting classes for Florida State, Florida, Miami, and UCF continue to progress. It's a transition year for 'Noles recruiting, some risky but high upside players for the Gators, Miami's defensive back class is really good, and UCF continues to hit the in-state talent.
Discussing how Grant Stevens can help UCF in several different ways, how the Knights are building their tight end depth chart, and what might happen with other potential tight end recruits.
Mrs. Porter-Williams discussed her son's upbringing with sport, including football, when Anthony earned his first scholarship offer, what motivates him, his personality, and what it was like for Anthony to go through COVID and train as hard as he ever had.
After scouting Kameron Moore and Leyton Nelson yesterday, here are my thoughts regarding how those two players performed, where UCF Football stands with recruiting, and how the Knights recruiting Orlando talent will pay off in the long run.
Kameron Moore is one of the most underrated linebackers in the state of Florida. His film does not lie. Really good player that displays natural instincts and skills that will translate to the Division I level for the UCF Knights.
A true evaluation of top Central Florida prospects from the class of 2022. Whether it may be Gabe Dindy, the best overall prospect in Florida, or a player few people know about, this list covers every single prospect I scouted and believe can be a truly really good college football player.
Discussing the talents of Tavoy Fegan, a talented class of 2024 cornerback from Tampa (Fla.) Carrollwood Day School, a player that's earned several offers already including UF, UCF, and Miami among others.Physical, Instinctive, excellent change of direction skills, and a humble young man. Good things are going to happen for this prospect as continues to develop and grow.
There are several underclassmen for Berkeley Prep Football that could be discussed. Here are three of those prospects, Keon Keeley, Nihkil Jefferson, and Titus Bullard.
Football skills analysis of four Berkeley Prep prospects: Xavier Townsend, Travis Bates, CJ Hawkins, and TJ Bullard. This is a very athletic and special group of seniors for Berkeley Prep Head Football Coach Dominick Ciao. All four of these players will play major college football, and each player possesses his own unique skills.
UCF football added Leyton Nelson to the recruiting fold on Thursday, Aug. 5. The talented 2022 offensive tackle prospect plays for Orlando (Fla.) Boone. He chose the Knights despite offers from Louisville, Pittsburgh, Miami, Utah, Florida, Florida State, Oregon, and many other programs.Nelson changes UCF’s recruiting outlook. He possesses the ability to play offensive tackle, and he's also a player that can play the blind side, meaning left tackle. Along with fellow offensive tackle commitment Miguel Maldonado, this is an excellent one-two punch of offensive tackle recruits for the Knights.Along the offensive line, Gus Malzahn and his staff now need to figure out if they want another high school player or take a junior college player or college transfer. UCF only signed five high school offensive linemen from the combination of the last two recruiting classes, so UCF needs to maximize with each scholarship handed out along the trenches.
There's something different about being a football mom. As is the case with UCF Football offensive guard Cole Schneider, his mother wants to see her son be successful, and she also wants to enjoy the entire UCF Football program while her son is in Orlando.Mrs. Schneider came onto the show and discussed her son since the time he arrived at UCF, what it's like going to games, being the mom of a UCF Football player, meeting Dillon Gabriel, she discussed other player's parents, the UCF coaches, and what's in store for this upcoming season. Mrs. Schneider was gracious and allowed people to learn what it's truly like being involved with the UCF Football program overall.
The UCF Football team’s offense goes into fall camp with many known commodities at positions such as quarterback, and the Knights also possess questions at positions like running back and tight end. Here's an overview of questions and thoughts regarding each of the UCF Football team's position groups, one by one, with potential scenarios that could play out this fall.
Discussing the upcoming UF vs UCF series with Zach Goodall, the publisher of All Gators on FanNation powered by Sports Illustrated. Discussion about why the series took so long to come about, why fans from both sides do not care for one another, and then the discussion turned to recruiting. The Gators' Friday Night Lights event was a hit, including discussion about Raymond Cottrell, the WR that committed during the event. Also a detailed discussion regarding Leyton Nelson, the offensive tackle from Orlando (Boone) that's possibly picking between UF and UCF.
Jennifer Jackson was nice enough to come do a video podcast and discuss several aspects of being the parent of a young man that always wanted to play football. Mrs. Jackson also provided insight into what it’s like to travel with the team, communicate with other parents of the UCF players, what it’s like to know Head Coach Gus Malzahn and his wife Kristi Malzahn, amongst several topics that were discussed. The interview was enlightening, quite honestly.
As of August 2, 2021, UCF received eight verbal commitments from high school prospects. Here's a closer look at each player and what they bring to the gridiron. People might be surprised at how much talent the Knights reeled in to date.
UCF only signed two offensive linemen for the class of 2020 and two offensive linemen for the class of 2021. The question becomes, how many offensive line recruits should UCF take from this point forward for the class of 2022 with two already in the fold? There are also specific questions that must be answered within the number of additional recruits taken by the Knights.Should UCF take multiple JUCO prospects? Do the Knights look to the transfer portal to find a few recruits that graduating from another school? They certainly need experience to join the roster, as roughly five UCF offensive linemen will leave after this year. This is an interesting topic and one that must be addressed with numbers and high quality talent. Pay particular attention to UCF offensive line recruiting moving forward.
A star-studded list of recruits heads to Gainesville to visit the University of Florida to compete against one another. It's Friday Night Lights. The Gators host the event and it's going to be top-notch competition from across Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee and Dixie in general. There are numerous elite recruits from the classes of 2022 and 2023, plus one big-time 2024 prospect as well.Along with SI All-American Director of Recruiting John Garcia, Jr., we go over the list of top prospects, which is over 20 recruits in total, and detail their playing styles and long-term skills for the college level. There's also recruiting news.Whether it's discussing linebacker Shemar James and his commitment to Florida but yet the Crimson Tide continues to come after him, or the unique recruitment of Jaron Willis, a Georgia Tech commitment expected in Gainesville for Friday Night Lights, there's plenty to discuss about the recruitments of multiple players.
