Is this a case of overconfidence meeting modern forensics? In this episode, Tony Brueski and retired FBI Special Agent Robin Dreeke dissect the alleged missteps, from touch DNA on a knife sheath to cell phone data that paints an incriminating picture. How far would someone go to keep their secrets hidden—or flaunt them instead? In 2009, Dwayne Keefe D. Davis claimed Sean "Diddy" Combs allegedly placed a bounty on Tupac Shakur and Suge Knight. Yet, for over a decade, this bombshell confession languished in the shadows. Now, with court proceedings finally addressing these claims, the psychological labyrinth surrounding this case takes center stage. What motivates someone to hold onto such an explosive secret—or brazenly admit to it years later? Could this be about ego, guilt, or a thirst for attention? And how does this fit into the alleged patterns of power, control, and revenge tied to one of hip-hop’s most infamous sagas? With new evidence unearthing long-buried accusations, the spotlight now falls on Keefe D's chilling admission and its implications. The case of criminology PhD student Bryan Kohberger, accused of brutally murdering four University of Idaho students, is testing the limits of legal strategy and genetic genealogy. With DNA evidence linking Kohberger to a knife sheath found at the crime scene, his defense is fighting tooth and nail to exclude it, claiming violations of privacy and unreliable science. Sean “Diddy” Combs, the once-celebrated music mogul behind Bad Boy Records, has been accused of creating a "degrading" and "predatory" work environment for the members of his hit girl group Danity Kane, according to former member D. Woods. Speaking on Good Morning America, Woods described a toxic atmosphere where the band members were judged primarily on their sex appeal rather than their talent. “He viewed his artists as ‘pieces of meat,’” said Woods, who joined the group after appearing on Combs’ reality TV series Making the Band 3. “In some of the environments, it was even scary to be by yourself.” Woods’ allegations come amid mounting legal troubles for Combs, who was arrested in September on suspicion of sex trafficking and racketeering. Prosecutors allege he orchestrated events he called "freak-offs," where women were forced to participate in multi-day sex parties. More than 150 individuals, including men and boys, have accused Combs of sexual assault, resulting in over 30 civil lawsuits. Woods recounted her experiences during an upcoming Investigation Discovery docuseries titled The Fall of Diddy. In the series, she recalls witnessing “inappropriate communications” between Combs and fellow Danity Kane member Aubrey O’Day, who was ultimately fired alongside Woods during Making the Band 4. Woods noted that there was no one to report such behavior to, forcing the group members to rely solely on one another for support. Asked by Good Morning America’s Eva Pilgrim if any avenues for reporting existed, Woods replied, “Absolutely not. What were they going to do? It’s like, ‘How do we survive this?’” Despite the damning allegations, Combs and his legal team maintain his innocence, calling the accusations “pure fiction.” In a statement to GMA, his lawyers criticized the documentary’s producers, claiming they failed to give Combs an adequate opportunity to respond to the allegations. “[Combs] has full confidence in the facts and the judicial process, where truth will prevail,” the statement read. Woods explained her decision to come forward now, stating that she finally feels her story will be heard and taken seriously. She acknowledged fears of retaliation if Combs is acquitted but emphasized that staying silent hasn’t changed anything. “Every time I think I should stay quiet, I remind myself that not talking hasn’t helped,” she said. Combs is currently being held in Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center. A judge determined he was a flight risk and could potentially intimidate witnesses. His trial is set to begin on May 5, 2025. #SeanCombs #DanityKane #MusicIndustry #SexTrafficking #MakingTheBand #CelebrityTrial #BreakingNews Want to listen to ALL of our podcasts AD-FREE? The high-profile case of Kouri Richins, charged with murdering her husband, Eric Richins, has entered a critical phase as attorneys contest the admissibility of key evidence ahead of her trial. Eric Richins died in March 2022 from a fentanyl overdose, and investigators took over a year to arrest his wife. The case is attracting attention due to conflicting narratives about the investigation process and the evidence gathered. Detective Jeff O'Driscoll, one of the lead investigators, testified about his early visits to Kouri Richins, emphasizing that she was not initially a primary suspect. "We knew Eric had died of a fentanyl overdose but did not know whether it was an accident, suicide, or homicide," O'Driscoll explained. He described Kouri Richins as “very cheery, very open” during his visit, though defense attorney Kathy Nestor criticized his approach. Nestor questioned why O'Driscoll stayed in the home for three hours and why Richins was not informed about an audio recording of their conversation. Nestor also raised issues about O'Driscoll obtaining phone records prior to the visit without notifying Richins or her attorney. "In order to be thorough, I was trying to investigate all of those possibilities," O'Driscoll replied, maintaining that his actions were standard procedure. Investigators executed multiple search warrants, but these operations have drawn scrutiny. During a traffic stop shortly after the first search, Eric Maynard of the Summit County Sheriff's Office obtained Richins' phone. A recording played in court revealed Richins crying during their conversation, but Maynard testified, "I did not see tears." He said she voluntarily gave her phone password but later admitted a mistake in his report, which stated she was in custody at the time. Another contentious piece of evidence is a letter titled "Walk the dog!!" discovered in Kouri Richins' jail cell. Prosecutors allege the letter outlines instructions for her mother and brother about testimony and financial issues, claiming it amounts to witness tampering. The letter also mentions a person referred to as "Lotto," described as an intimate acquaintance of Kouri Richins. Prosecutors argue this correspondence could link her to attempts at manipulating witnesses and avoiding suspicion. However, the defense has questioned whether the letter falls under attorney-client privilege due to references to legal advice. Deputy Summit County Attorney Brad Bloodworth defended the inclusion of the letter, asserting, "This is not trial preparation; it’s about controlling testimony and publicity." Bloodworth also pointed to its significance in explaining potential motives, including financial pressures on Kouri Richins. The timeline of events leading to Richins' arrest also came under scrutiny. Less than three weeks after O'Driscoll’s visit, he secured a warrant to search Richins' home for evidence, including copper cups and counterfeit pills. During the search, an orange notebook was seized, though its relevance is now contested. Additionally, Richins' arrest outside a Salt Lake County business involved another phone seizure, which her defense argues may have been mishandled. Eric Richins' death, initially called in as a medical emergency, has led to Kouri Richins facing charges of aggravated murder and attempted murder, alongside allegations of mortgage fraud and forgery. Her legal team is fighting to suppress evidence they believe was improperly obtained, while prosecutors argue the material is critical to proving her guilt. As the trial approaches, attorneys are tasked with submitting written briefs to address unresolved evidentiary disputes. The judge has indicated that decisions on contested items will follow a future hearing. In addition to the murder charges, Kouri Richins faces separate allegations of financial crimes, including mortgage fraud, which will be addressed in a subsequent trial. The case’s complexity and high stakes underscore the challenges of balancing thorough investigation with legal safeguards. With the trial scheduled for April, it remains to be seen how the evidence battles will shape the jury’s understanding of the events surrounding Eric Richins’ tragic death. #KouriRichins #EricRichins #FentanylOverdose #TrueCrime #LegalNews #MurderTrial #UtahNews Want to listen to ALL of our podcasts AD-FREE? Georgia Fire Chief James “Bart” Cauthen was fatally shot on January 19 after stopping to help a couple who hit a deer in rural Alabama. Authorities allege William Franklin opened fire unprovoked as Cauthen and the driver sought help. Franklin faces murder charges while investigators piece together the tragic events. A Georgia fire chief was fatally shot in what authorities describe as an unprovoked attack after he stopped to assist a couple whose car had struck a deer along a rural road in Alabama. According to the Chambers County Sheriff’s Department, James Bartholomew “Bart” Cauthen, 54, was traveling back to his home in Georgia on the evening of January 19 when he noticed a car pulled over on County Road 267. The vehicle had apparently collided with a deer, prompting the driver and his wife to pull to the roadside. Cauthen, a battalion chief with Coweta County Fire Rescue, owned property nearby. With limited cellphone service in the remote area, he and the male driver approached a nearby house seeking additional help. Authorities say William Randall Franklin, 33—who lived at that home—allegedly opened fire “without warning.” The car’s driver also had a firearm, and what authorities called a “shootout” ensued. Cauthen was struck by gunfire and pronounced dead at the scene. The unnamed driver and Franklin both suffered gunshot wounds and were taken to separate trauma centers for treatment; both are expected to survive. The driver’s wife, who stayed in the vehicle, was unharmed. Investigators arrested Franklin the following day, after he was treated and released from Piedmont Columbus Regional hospital in Columbus, Georgia. He was then booked into the Muscogee County Jail. Franklin faces a murder charge and is expected to be extradited to Chambers County, Alabama. Cauthen’s colleagues at Coweta County Fire Rescue paid tribute to him on Facebook, calling the fallen battalion chief “an amazing, hard-working man with a gentle soul.” Neighbors interviewed by local station WBRL described Franklin as a “paranoid schizophrenic,” though police have not confirmed that diagnosis. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities say they are still piecing together the exact sequence of events leading up to the fatal shooting. Want to listen to ALL of our podcasts AD-FREE? The defense is taking aim at the cutting-edge investigative genetic genealogy (IgG) evidence, attempting to exclude it as unconstitutional and unreliable. But can they really argue this groundbreaking science is "junk"? With DNA from Kohberger's father allegedly leading investigators to their suspect and a direct swab matching DNA to the crime scene, the defense is left wrestling with claims of privacy violations and the legality of evidence collection. Meanwhile, closed-door hearings add an air of mystery—what's being hidden from the public eye? As the prosecution builds its case with a mountain of forensic, digital, and circumstantial evidence, Kohberger’s defense faces an uphill battle. Will their strategies unravel the state’s case, or will the science prevail? #BryanKohberger #TrueCrime #IdahoMurders #GeneticGenealogy #DNAEvidence #LegalBattle #CrimeAnalysis Want to listen to ALL of our podcasts AD-FREE? Was Richard Allen simply the unluckiest man alive, or is there more to the tangled web of suspects in the Delphi case? As the appeal process begins, new details emerge that cast doubt on the original investigation. A 2017 confession from Ron Logan, another alleged suspect, describes chilling specifics about the crime, including the use of a box cutter—details that align eerily with the medical examiner's findings. So why were these claims sidelined, and how might this oversight impact the case against Allen? Jennifer Coffindaffer, retired FBI Special Agent, dives into the confounding decisions made in court, questioning whether the pursuit of justice was overshadowed by a need for closure. Could alternative suspects like Logan or Keegan Kline, who allegedly communicated with one of the victims before the crime, hold the answers? And with such critical evidence left out, did the jury ever have a fair shot at the truth? Is this a case of judicial missteps, or is there something far darker at play? #DelphiMurders #TrueCrime #RichardAllen #RonLogan #KeeganKline #JusticeForAbbyAndLibby #HiddenKillers Want to listen to ALL of our podcasts AD-FREE? Diddy Sexual Assault Lawsuit Dismissed Over Statute of Limitations Sean "Diddy" Combs has successfully defended himself against a sexual assault lawsuit filed by Derrick Lee Cardello-Smith, a Michigan inmate, as a federal judge dismissed the case due to the statute of limitations. According to court documents obtained by In Touch, the claims were deemed untimely, and the judge dismissed the lawsuit with prejudice, permanently barring Derrick from refiling. Derrick accused Diddy of assaulting him at a Holiday Inn in Detroit in 1997. He alleged that the music mogul invited him to a party, spiked his drink, and assaulted him while he was unconscious. However, the court ruled that Derrick’s legal window to file such claims had long expired. The ruling stated, “[Derrick] filed this lawsuit in 2024, which is long after the applicable statute of limitations expired.” Diddy, 55, denied all allegations, and his legal team highlighted inconsistencies in Derrick’s story. “[Derrick] alleges that this purported assault occurred in two different counties on the same day,” Diddy’s attorney pointed out, referencing previous filings. The legal team also described Derrick as a "serial filer" of frivolous lawsuits, accusing him of attempting to extort the entertainment mogul. “This is not [Derrick’s] first attempt at a shakedown — and unless this Court intervenes, it will not be his last,” Diddy’s lawyers argued. They noted Derrick’s history of meritless lawsuits, which they claimed caused significant legal expenses for Diddy. Despite dismissing the case, the judge denied Diddy’s request for monetary sanctions and an order prohibiting Derrick from filing further lawsuits. However, the court issued a stern warning to Derrick, cautioning him against filing “duplicative, frivolous, or harassing” cases in the future. The judge added that failure to comply could result in severe restrictions. In an unexpected twist before the dismissal, Derrick attempted to involve Jennifer Lopez, Diddy’s former partner, as a witness, claiming she held information relevant to the case. Jennifer, 55, was not called to testify, as the court found no merit in Derrick’s claims. Diddy’s legal team described the accusations as baseless, pointing out Derrick’s criminal history, including convictions for sexual assault and kidnapping. “This man is a convicted felon and sexual predator who has been sentenced on 14 counts of sexual assault and kidnapping over the last 26 years,” Diddy’s attorney stated. They emphasized that Diddy had no prior knowledge of Derrick, let alone any interactions with him. With the lawsuit dismissed, Diddy avoids further legal entanglement in this case, though his legal team remains vigilant against any potential future filings by Derrick. The decision underscores the challenges of pursuing decades-old claims and highlights the impact of inconsistent allegations on a plaintiff’s credibility. #Diddy #SeanCombs #LawsuitDismissed #JenniferLopez #StatuteOfLimitations #EntertainmentNews #LegalDrama  Want to listen to ALL of our podcasts AD-FREE? The amount of commercials is ridiculous! Who cares if the information is interesting? Essentially when there are MORE commercials than content. Other podcasts are more valuable and worthy than you're drivel, prostituted over multiple streams as "true crime".

You have more commercial than local TV! 10 minute podcast 6 minutes of commercials. AND YOU REPEAT THE SAME ONE MULTIPLE TIMES IN THOSE 10 MINUTES. Unsubscribing because it's unlistenable even though you do have good content, but not enough to tolerate trashing my ears.

Please do a little research before making a podcast about a subject. Santa did not commit suicide and the Ramsey's never divorced.

I would 100% get a great defense attorney and let them speak for me if I or a close family member was a suspect in the death of an individual. Have none of you seen the many stories of people who have been wrongly accused and convicted of crimes that they were many, many years later exonerated? C’mon people use your brains

Disappointing episode: Despite saying they're going to focus on the murders, both parties seem to know, nor have researched, very little about the actual murders. They focus on the haunting. Disappointing.

Thank you both for saying what most people in this country would like to scream out. The sad thing is that the people that can do something are playing politics. We the people elected these clowns and they are not doing anything to protect us. Carol is right it is frustrating. The people that are most upset by all these senseless shootings can't do a damn think. I am getting so tired of sitting and crying for these victims and their families over and over and nothing can be done to stop the next incident.
