Today's episode is about how we as coaches can often use fillers to fill the open air during lessons, clinics, or group tennis activities. Today we discuss the power of silence when to use these fillers, and making sure we stay focused on the goals for our players.
Today we talk with Dan McCain, a highly acclaimed coach by both the USPTA and PTR, and his current project called "7Shot Tennis". 7Shot Tennis is a match analytics service where Dan and his team will do advanced match charting for anyone who wants the service. In today’s episode, I will discuss why I believe Yonex is currently controlling the equipment market. We will touch on what pros are endorsing the brand, their racquet and string differentiating factors, and then what I think they can do better as a brand.
Today’s episode will focus on college tennis and why programs have been pumping out professional players left and right. More specifically, we will cover the differences between college and pro, the fan experience, and the team vs. the individual.
In today’s episode we will focus on ways young coaches can excel in this industry. We are going to talk about mentorship, taking advantage of new technologies, and how constant curiosity can give us the upper hand in the tennis industry.

In this podcast, we get the chance to talk to Kevin O’Neill, the coach of WTA singles #94 and WTA doubles #21. Kevin has been working with Caty and her brother John who recently retired for quite some time, and I wanted to pick his brain a little bit and learn about tour coaching. Kevin has an incredibly positive outlook on life and tennis which is apparent on his Instagram page @kpotennis and is obvious throughout our discussion. Kevin is working to help Caty mold a full “All Court” style of play to diversify her abilities to make her more consistent across surfaces. I would definitely keep Caty and her doubles partner CoCo Gauff at the forefront of your mind when considering up-and-coming young stars! Many thanks to Kevin for taking his time and talking with me for this episode!

I wanted to interview my dad so that he could talk about his experiences being a tennis parent. I have played many USTA and UTR events, so he has seen the good, bad, and ugly of the tennis world including having gained knowledge through me. Hopefully, this podcast will be helpful for those parents just getting into the world of tennis!

Hey 10sJunkies, today I got the pleasure of speaking with Jonathan Pham who strings and is the coordinator for Texas Christian University. In this episode, we talk about trends in college players, what makes the college tennis scene unique, and what sort of things make their rackets and string differently.
In this episode of the 10sJunkies podcast, I got the awesome opportunity to talk with Smitti. Smitti runs an at-home-stringing business and popular Instagram page "Mains & Crosses". We sat down and talked about certain trends we can likely predict that will impact the stringing industry. Smitti has been stringing for about 8 years and has experienced many ups and downs in the industry. One thing Smitti did to improve his business is to start offering a pickup and drop-off service when COVID hit to help provide people with the most convenient service possible. Another innovation Smitti implemented was accepting crypto-currency and buying into the NFT and Metaverse space. I really enjoyed talking all things stringing and new-age business with Smitti and hope I get the chance again! You can check out his Instagram account at the link below:

In this episode, I talk with a young coach from Raleigh North Carolina. Diego Martinez built up a high-performance academy with kids who just picked up rackets. In their first JTT season, they didn't lose a match! I talked with Diego about what sort of things we as young coaches can do to improve our coaching and the relationship we have with the players. Being a young coach comes with its own problems which Diego and I both talked about. My hope for this episode is to give encouragement to other young coaches like us who are just beginning their journey.
In this episode of the podcast I got the chance to talk with and interview Adam Friel. Adam works for Diadem and closely helps to develop their new "hitting lane" and "motion tracking analytics" at their headquarters in Florida. Adam is also a coach, stringer, and avid tennis player himself. He has helped to support me throughout my journey in the tennis industry and I really enjoyed chatting about all things tennis with him.
I wanted to do a brief episode talking about me and my journey with tennis. Everyone has such a unique journey with tennis especially coaches, stringers, and professional players. With this episode I just covered some of the basics of my story.
The idea for this podcast is to really allow other tennis fans to hear from and discuss many different tennis-related topics. I have experience as a coach, stringer, player, and YouTuber, which helps me know a lot of different corners of the industry. Go ahead and follow the podcast if you want to further your tennis knowledge and help grow your love for the sport.
