The 1717 Brewcast

The Brewcast's first ever guest and esteemed Knucklehead, Ryan, steps up to the plate and talks Point of Sale systems with us. Also, Matt has to choose between his love of Excel and a great POS system and Ryan shamelessly plugs and name-drops. And, introducing the Legend of the Bread Man.

The gang discusses their marketing update, a POS system, weight lifting tips, and what makes a sweet t-shirt (Hint: It's not Legends of the Hidden Temple).

The Brew Crew gets together to discuss a setback at 1717, naming beers, marketing and what little they know about it, and Matt's calves. Meanwhile, Alex and Matt's relationship reaches a new low.

Matt and Phil go over the brewing process, the system at 1717, generational yeast, and what exactly DMS stands for.

Every time someone says "brown," take a drink, as Phil brings in his homemade Brown and Matt tests his Mexican lager (and his knowledge of our southern neighbor's history). The boys also laugh at the phrases "head retention" and "mouth feel" as they discuss their beer recipe-making process. Also, how to determine the sex of a hamster for some reason.

Jerry comes in with a wine buzz as we discuss the size and use of all the brewing equipment as well as Matt's alien encounters, putting weird stuff in beer, what we want to see when we come into a taproom, Matt and Phil being dicks, and tambourines.

The Brew Boys discuss the location, vibe, and floorplan of 1717 Brewing Co., the spots they'd lost before, local businesses, and fights at the Big Tomato.
