There was a lot to touch on when it came to Laura, from Shelby Carpenter's complicated relationships with various women to Gene Tierney's mercurial presence in 1940s cinema. My enormously knowledgeable and talented guest had a lot of theories about the major themes present within the story and he also had a lot to contribute when it came to the supposedly 'romantic' elements of this film.
