This week we explore everything wrong with She Hulk and Marvels' continuous character assassination of Hulk with each iteration. Despite what She Hulk effectively stood for in the comics, Marvel failed to capture the complexity of the character and created a 'failed' feminist icon... Is She Hulk too woke? or are we just tired of the unlimited stream of Marvel Content? Nevertheless, Disney Plus got it right with ‘Prey'. An action packed, gory thrill seeker with a strong female lead, who actually earned it! We explore the exciting new thriller featuring the iconic ’Predator'. It's got to be the best Predator film that has graced our screen as of yet. What do you think?Oh and there's also some Kanye stuff... The title might be catchy, but truly we are here to breakdown the concepts covered in the Netflix Adaptation of 'The Sandman', a Graphic Novel that dodged the Comicbook Authority, and went full steam ahead on metaphysical and multiversal concepts under the guidance of Neil Gaiman, all through a very human perspective. With the Aftermath of the NBA Championships and Golden State taking back their spot on top of the league, it raises many questions for us here at Aftermath on not just the legacy of the team but also the come up of Steph Curry to one of the greatest in the league in the past decade. How Pivotal and Revolutionary is Stephen Curry to the NBA?We also cover Tollywood's biggest blockbuster this year RRR, Directed by S.S. Rajamouli this movie has become a sleeper hit for us on the other side of the ocean, a huge but exciting surprise that took Paolo and John into a whole new world of cinema that reaches the peak of what feels like Hollywood in the '80s led by superstars and an incredible feeling of a lengthy epic, expertly made with a quick pace that we were never bored. It's another case Watson! The Aftermath detectives are back online and dissecting a case that is hardly being touched online, quite mysteriously in fact if we do say so ourselves (extremely suss Aftermath family) We previously explored the dark side of hollywood marriages that is often steeped in fecal matter and bee's crushed by puppy paws, exploring the toxicity of the hollywood elite (minus Amber Heard of course), one man lost all his power and just gained it back......on the other side of the ocean, one man lost his power for the past year, sadly for many EXO and Kris Wu fans news has come out that he has been involved in what can only be described as pedophile ring, being blasted on Chinese social media for the most bitBut his fans haven't given up and have highlighted many of the controversies surrounding these alleged leaked messages between him and his victim are more hearsay but with mounting witnesses, will Kris Wu spend an eternity in prison or is he innocent till proven guilty....Pay close attention Aftermath family, as Oaksoe dissects the timeline of events that lead up to the arrest of Kris Wu. Innocent till Proven Guilty? or Guilty in the court of public opinionTracklist 00:00 to 00:15 Intro 00:15 to 39:15 Kris Wu Case

With the Dr Strange in the Multiverse of Madness releasing, we give our honest review on this chaotic movie directed Sam Raimi along with our reaction to the Avatar 2 movie trailer and the highly anticipated Kendrick Lamar album dropping very soon. We start with the bad and end with the good! Not to say that the Marvel movie was all bad but in this episode we challenge your perspective on the movie given that you guys loved it like every other Marvel fan that has fell in love with Marvel's successful formula. It's tricky when fans are introduced to the idea of being able to enter different universes and realities because then a question may come to linger at the back of their head like it did ours, does anything matter? K.dot, the kid from Compton, Kendrick is finally back after a 5 year hiatus. We debate if he is one of the greatest rappers, he's always given his listeners insight into the reality of his day to day life growing up in Compton. He addresses social issues like racism, gang violence and generational trauma in his music yet each album has it's own unique sound and conveys these messages through his verses which contain many layers of meaning. We are psyched, we reminisce on his old albums and we wonder what sound his new album will bring. To keep up to date with us, click on the link -> hslinktr.ee/theaftermathpodcast12
As Amber Heard and Johnny Depp's defamation trial presumes, we break down the most ridiculous moments recorded on camera. By all means, this is a murky, perplexing trial. As they released two great films over the weekend The Northman and Everything Everywhere All At Once. We explore why the bloody and mesmerizing Nordic Tale 'The Northman' has to be one of the greatest films of this decade. A film that truly must be experienced at least once in a lifetime. On the lighter side, what would happen if you put a 59-year-old woman in a multi-dimensional action comedy thriller? You get one of the most 'Out of the box, most stunning looking, outrageously funny yet emotionally heavy-hitting films that you will ever see. Everything Everywhere All At Once is the film that Crazy, Rich Asians wish it was. Wow what a week, we never thought in a million years that the Oscars would turn into a slapstick comedy in 2022. Still feels like every year since 2012 has just been a fever dream within the volksgeist of pop culture. This episode we breakdown the "slap heard around the world", exploring the dichotomy of will smith, his past, his present, his trauma and what the 'aftermath' of his public assault on comedian Chris Rock holds towards the public eye. And boy do we dissect and analyse Jada Pinkett Smith, an individual who has put the Smith name and their life into the public eye as we dissect their controversial red table talksAlso, Marvel's highly anticipated property this year 'Moonknight' just dropped on Disney+ and definitely give a listen as we review Episode 1, both from a film perspective and also what this means for the MCU moving forward, does it hold up to the cerebral nature of the comics or does it run on the formulaic MCU Welcome to another episode of The Aftermath Podcast, relax and tune into your favourite pop culture podcast! Honestly, another great episode where we intermittently froth over our favourite directors across the world, evaluating their styles, stories, and more importantly why directors are having more freedom than ever to put their own individualistic stamps on their legacy of films From our top 3 directors, to analysing their films, the actors they use to the cinematographers they use, this is an episode purely dedicated to the appreciation and respect for their vision in a world where the golden age of actors are removed and more than ever seats are sold for the team behind themWelcome to another episode of The Aftermath Podcast, sit down, relax, and press play, we hope you enjoy x*P.S all the links to our different channels are linked here https://linktr.ee/theaftermathpodcast12
