For those of us who grew up in the country, around guns, this is common. Tanarite is used for target practice all the time, it doesn't make us stupid. It also doesn't mean we only have one brain cell, or lack common sense. it's a life style that unless you grew up in it, wouldn't understand. I have a masters degree, and I also have my concealed handgun license. As for the wife, I can almost guarantee she was on board with this, as many people I know have done this same reveal. lol

Listening earlier episodes and the guessing game is too much. If you don't know, just stop recording and Google it. Facts 30%, some weird assumptions 70%. I hope it gets better in the future episodes.

Much more professional. There is still too much giggling for my taste (though that might be personal), but the subject matter is light enough for a comedy show and it well-researched and informative, with a good choice of qualified guests. This is streets ahead of the early episodes.

I heard a trailer for this podcast on another podcast and had high hopes. 'Triangle shirtwaist fire' is the first episode I've listened to so far, and it is one of your earliest episodes. I have to say I was disappointed by the amount of nervous giggling and inane, tasteless chit-chat amongst yourselves, and the gossipy, uninformed pre-judgments. What I came for was an in informed analysis and discussion of a tragic incident; not a gossip show. I hope the moments of silence when things 'got dark', made you realise how 'off' the tone was. In your defence, however, I concede that this was something like the second episode of over a hundred. I hope that you have now managed to get over the initial adrenaline burst of recording a podcast with friends, and are putting more quality content per minute into your shows.

by no means do I defend the colonists who came over here with with bad intentions and maybe did things more despicably than I would like but let's be honest that it turned out to be good for all of us. the only reason America is here and I was able to grow up in such a great country it's because Europeans came and defeated the indigenous people. every country is started by a group of people going over to another land and defeating the people that live there so they can take over. It's happened all through history and perhaps will happen again.

This episode is fascinating. It's perfect study of what happens when you're so progressive that you actually start having authoritarian views. The last half of the episode is them talking about throwing people to jail for conspiratorial thinking. While I agree that conspiracy theorist are nut jobs, listening to three liberals seriously discussing criminalising anti-government thought is absolutely hilarious in it's lack of self awareness. The first half of the episode was good, but showcases how half hazard the research for the show is. How in the world can you make a podcast about Heavens Gate and not bring up halley's comet?! Really makes you think what other absolutely crucial information the forgot to read about in other episodes.
