Dave and David close out with a deep dive into Liverpool’s January priorities and the fixtures that could define the season. They assess the Semenyo rumours, why Bournemouth may be driving the narrative, and whether the player’s profile truly fits what Liverpool need. They also explore Liverpool’s long-standing interest in Marc Guehi and where defensive reinforcements sit in the club’s hierarchy of needs. Attention then turns to the immediate tests: PSV at Anfield and a dangerous away trip to West Ham. David explains why Liverpool should win in Europe but why the Premier League form remains a major concern. The pair discuss likely rotation, the ongoing right-back dilemma, the Calvin Ramsay question, and how Liverpool handle a battered squad in a critical spell. A sharp, forward-looking conversation on transfers, tactics and the two fixtures that could crank the pressure even higher. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Dave and David turn to the off-the-pitch storm now engulfing Liverpool, asking whether Arne Slot and Richard Hughes should be under far more scrutiny. They unpack Van Dijk’s explosive post-match comments, the continued lack of intensity and structure, and the baffling substitutions that have turned late-game scenarios into chaos. The conversation digs into the deeper issues: why Liverpool’s tactical plan isn’t visible, why signings aren’t bedding in, and why the squad feels disjointed despite heavy investment. They examine the disconnect between recruitment and on-pitch execution, the growing concern about right-back options, the questionable fit of summer arrivals like Frimpong and Kirkes, and the real risk that Champions League qualification could slip away. This cut captures the rising pressure on Slot, the doubts around the summer rebuild, and the moment where Liverpool must decide whether things can still be rescued. Learn more about your ad choices. Dave Davis is brilliant on this podcast. It's a real shame that you don't do the daily. However, I don't agree about James Pearce. I think he's so smug. I'm glad Jurgen puts him in his place. I remember complimenting Neil Atkinson after an episode of press box. Pearce was on the same episode. Even though I hadn't mentioned him at all, he thought he was really clever trying to take the piss out of me for complimenting Neil. He's a tit. Thanks for a great podcast. 👏👏👏👏👏

Not great. Thought I'd give it a try. Seems very Anti Jurgen Klopp. Listened a few days ago and he started talking about FSG and baseball. Then continued to talk baseball and different baseball teams for about 15-20 minutes. Seems to drag every bit of info out, to make it last longer. Will stick with the Anfield wrap and Redmen TV.

whatabouthery extreme. Qatar bribed their way to the world cup and allowed more abuse of migrant workers. We all know Russia bribed also but there are 350k people in Qatar, complete BS. FIFA most corrupt agency ever. Qatar improvements are only Western media.
