This week I talk with Bob Bryant of Mission K9 Rescue. With Veterans Day approaching this was a fitting episode to talk about the animals that have served our country. Typically, the military has viewed working dogs as tools for their work and once they are unable to continue working they are often forgotten. However, Bob and I discuss how Mission K9 is working to give these animals the retirement they deserve. Mission K9 works to bring dogs back home after their service has ended overseas and then finds them the most appropriate home, whether it be with their former handler or another family.
