A pretty disappointing ending to a 3-parter that had a lot of potential. What started as an intriguing horror story ends abruptly without any real payoff and turns into a clumsy and unnecessary romance.
I like the o.g. twilight zone vibes in this one, the mid 20th century.
I've heard this story before, a while ago, probably on another podcast. But the production and sound design made it fun to re-listen anyway.
I really dislike Bathory slander. That woman was the most powerful woman of her time! By all accounts, she had a really good relationship with her husband. With his death, and her wealth, she would've had so many proposals to remarry, but she wouldn't retain her property.
it's just No Sleep with a different name. Hopefully their stories will be better though. NoSleep has gotten kind of lame

The show has good production value and should be amazing. Sadly, it is a mess. The stories are nonsensical, the sound effects often drown out the actual story, several times it is too fast paced to even really think about what's happening, each episode has a solid 4 minutes of padding which is really sad considering some of them are under 10 minutes, by episode 10 the stories just start up and they forget to even include the premise of this being a cursed item shop it's just bam random story.
what kind of demented, shitty parent doesn't tell their kid that the other parent is dead? That's the only horror that existed in that story.
Really enjoyed the Go Along Ritual at the end! although, I will say, I don't exactly get the order chosen for the daemons XD Sloth, Gluttony, Envy, Lust, Greed, Pride, Wrath not exactly a linear approach haha
This show started out promising but definitely disappoints. I feel like they've chosen the easiest, laziest possible route selecting material for the show by using already well-known creepypastas that have already been done by others countless times. There are tons of stories across tons of sites that they could've explored and delivered real gems that nobody's heard 100 times already! Anyway, end of rant.
