Part Eight, the final installment of the series, walks through the final against Parma in Copenhagen. Guests recount their memories of making the trip with the team as well as their concerns about how an undermanned squad would deal with one of Europe’s fiercest attacks. The episode also breaks down how that game was one of redemption for key figures in the squad, as well as George Graham himself. Highlighted by the memories of Alan Smith, who scored the game’s deciding goal, this series finale contains contributions from players and fnas alike.“One-Nil to the Arsenal” recounts the 1994 European Cup Winners Cup season and victory in eight parts.Host: Kent MalmrosGuests: Alan Smith, David Hillier, Nigel Winterburn, Amy Lawrence, Tim Stillman, Clive Palmer, Gary Lewin Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Part Seven highlights arguably the least celebrated but most important element of George Graham’s shift to European readiness – the midfield engine. While big names still adorned the attack and the back line, Graham overhauled the midfield to make it more physical and workmanlike, erring on the side of control. This episode also highlights the semifinals against PSG in the Cup Winners Cup tournament. “One-Nil to the Arsenal” recounts the 1994 European Cup Winners Cup season and victory in eight parts. Part Six explores the group of players most identified with that team and the entire George Graham era – the defense. Known as “The Famous Back Four,” Arsenal back line that season featured a group of players that would all, in their own right, become club legends. The team’s defensive prowess went so deep that some fans called it “The Famous Back Five” because of a legendary goalkeeper in his own right. There may be no unit more responsible for Arsenal’s European win and overall team identity. “One-Nil to the Arsenal” recounts the 1994 European Cup Winners Cup season and victory in eight parts. Part Five examines the change in Arsenal’s attacking makeup. Under George Graham, and during the 1989 and 1991 domestic title winning seasons, Alan Smith was a Golden Boot winner and the team had a potent attack. But, as Graham shifted the squad’s identity to succeed in Europe, much of the scoring focus was on one man – Ian Wright. During the Cup Winners Cup winning campaign, however, the attacking flare of Kevin Campbell and others was on display at various points throughout the season. Most importantly, on the European trail. Part Five examines the attack and how it produced when most needed.“One-Nil to the Arsenal” recounts the 1994 European Cup Winners Cup season and victory in eight parts. Throughout this episode, we recount how the various pieces fell into place and why they mattered to Graham’s continued obsessions with winning in Europe. “One-Nil to the Arsenal” recounts the 1994 European Cup Winners Cup season and victory in eight parts. guest sounds like Simone from Clock End Talk
Love the pod lads. But please stop asking for consistency from refs. You cannot have consistency and common sense at the same time. Refs are human and as such make mistakes. They make fewer mistakes than (probably) any player on the pitch in any game. Stop talking about it. All pundits should.
Love the podcast 😁. Why are they so large? 180MB? Surely, they can be better compressed and the clarity maintained.
thanks
superb episode - keep it up
Awesome pod. Insightful and 'Clivey' with great banter in between!
fantastic pod listen every week keep it up chaps
Im a fan of the show but you should take a minute to think about how you advertise your sponsors. Advertising lawnmower with mothers Day was disgusting. Every lawnmower ad is cringy but that was on another level. Not funny and straight up disgusting.
23:05
Really good discussion as usual
The whiny host is the worst thing about this show. Talks all over everyone else who you'd far rather hear from like Clive, Paul, Tim etc. He's spent the last 3 podcasts upset about millionaire players losing a small fraction of their wage a week while they sit on their arse in their mansions and still make more in a week than most working class families make in 10 years. The fans that make the club what it is are losing their jobs and their lives during this pandemic, abit of perspective would be great.
Of all the podcasts Put up by Elliott & co., this is my favorite. Thanks guys ❤️
Oh poor Clive 😳
I was meant to make a comment about your comment on Kolasinac not being injured and just wanted to get of the field in the man City game and i feel you owe him an apology do you agree
love it
no, trump is not like Hitler. you cuck
👍
Terrible team? Asshole supporter of teams with many money and lower love
Great pod guys
