When Jeep introduced the CJ-8 Scrambler in the early '80s, it stretched the CJ-7's formula to create something more versatile. With a 103-inch wheelbase – 10 inches longer than its sibling – the CJ-8 offered a smoother ride and the added practicality of a small pickup bed. It was rugged, ...
Mansory has a reputation for eschewing the typical German conservativeness in design. And following its take on an M5 back in the summer, the tuning house has returned with a similar creation, albeit this time with a blacked-out look. Whatever your thoughts on it are, the triple-exit center exhaust ...
2025 marks 25 years since we watched Nicholas Cage outrun a helicopter with Eleanor, the custom 1967 Shelby GT500, in the 2000 remake of Gone in 60 Seconds. The movie instantly elevated the car to legendary status and earned it a cult following among the car community. Today it is considered one of ...
BMW’s bold design direction has divided its fanbase for years, and nothing embodies that more than the G80 M3 and G82 M4’s massive kidney grilles. Now, a design studio from Shenzhen, China, is taking matters into its own hands. Lonnie Studio has unveiled a brand-new front bumper that promises to ...

The upcoming Jeep Grand Wagoneer REEV, that's "range-extended electric vehicle," will be America's first production REEV. The upcoming SUV will use a 92-kWh battery pack paired with a 3.6-liter V6 engine. Unlike traditional hybrids, where the gasoline motor also drives the wheels, the V6 will act ...
Companies are pouring resources extensively into what is possibly the future of EV charging. Analysts and industry experts are keeping tabs and seem increasingly interested in the progress some of these bright minds have achieved. For example, researchers at Oak Ridge National Laboratory managed to ...
New peer-reviewed research led by Stanford and published in Nature Energy found that EV battery life improves when cells experience the power “pulses” you get in real traffic. Compared with the old lab routine of perfectly steady charge/discharge cycles, dynamic driving extended usable life by up ...
It's been about three years since Nissan reintroduced the Z, and while that isn't exactly a long run, a few updates won't hurt. The coupe has been performing well for the brand, proving there's still room for an analog sports car in a world shifting toward crossovers. With sales holding steady, ...
The Hyundai Venue is the Korean marque's entry point into its rich SUV lineup. It's small, simple, and cheap to run, but it's not exactly a strong seller. As of October, Hyundai managed to move only 23,728 units of the Venue in the US this year – a number that trails even the electric Ioniq 5. ...
Formula 1 has consumed more lives than it has saved since 1950, yet one hospital in England found a way to reverse that equation. In 2001, two doctors at London’s Great Ormond Street Hospital were struck helpless by their neonatal intensive care unit struggling with chaotic baby handovers from ...
Porsche revealed its first electric-assisted turbocharger, dubbed the T-Hybrid, in the new 911 GTS launched in May this year. An electric motor sitting within the sole large turbocharger allows it to spool up instantly rather than having to wait for revs and exhaust gas pressure to build, thus ...
Gas prices aren’t numbers on a sign — they’re a national mood swing. Pull into a California station and you’ll feel your wallet flinch: $4.60 a gallon, easy. Cross a few state lines into Oklahoma, and suddenly gas feels almost cheap again. That gulf between pain and relief isn’t random. It’s built ...
The Range Rover Classic was once the poster child for rugged sophistication – a no-nonsense SUV with boxy lines and an honest character. It was designed for the countryside but looked just as confident outside a city townhouse. Decades later, finding a clean original (that still runs, that is) is ...
Kia achieved record third-quarter sales in the United States in the third quarter, and the recently refreshed Sportage played a huge role in that. This year alone, 134,102 Sportage models have been sold across the country so far. If you’re looking to buy or lease a new compact crossover and ...
Within the automotive realm, the BMW E30 M3 is hailed as one of the greats. In its heyday, the S14’s 200-ish horsepower pushed the lightweight (circa 2600 pounds) Beemer to win several trophies and accolades. However, in today’s world of 300-horsepower hot hatches and blisteringly quick EVs, owners ...
Waymo's artificial intelligence can deal with busy city streets with zero human input, but it turns out all you need to bring the system to its knees is a dead-end street and a smart prankster. Riley Walz, a 23-year-old software engineer, orchestrated what he dubbed the "world's first Waymo DDoS" ...
Alfa Romeo has given the Tonale a subtle, but important refresh for 2026, doubling down on design and driving emotion while quietly retiring its plug-in-hybrid powertrain. With sharper looks inspired by classic Alfas and a more focused lineup, the compact luxury SUV aims to reignite interest in a ...

There's a reason the Ferrari F40 is still considered one of the ultimate expressions of Maranello's engineering and character. Built to mark Ferrari's 40th anniversary and approved personally by Enzo Ferrari before his passing in 1988, it was the first production car to break the 200 mph barrier ...
I really enjoy this podcast. Good content, good chemistry between the hosts, very entertaining. Keep it up!

I don't know if it's a generation gap but you guys say the word "like" dozens of times when you're searching for a coherent thought during the podcast. I have worked with a younger engineer that had the same problem and we even started a "like jar" like the old swear jars and charged a quarter every time a conversation had too many likes. It helped and he eventually formed real sentences without assistance. I had to stop listening to this podcast and take a break because it was so incredibly annoying! If you used it as a drinking game, everyone playing would die of alcohol poisoning! I've been a fan of the Autoblog site for years and appreciate the hard work you put into it but c'mon guys please learn how to speak without a crutch word to convey your thoughts!
