Description

Hey besties! We are your hosts Teresa and Katie and we would like to welcome you to the BFF Bookcast! We will be releasing episodes every Wednesday - you can visit our Instagram for our schedule.

The podcast will consist of BFF Bookclub picks where we will deep dive into some of our favorite books and have general discussions surrounding the plot, characters, themes, etc. We will also be releasing episodes to chat about all things book related with the occasional guest (friends, authors, content creators)!

We are obsessed with all things Fantasy and Romance - if you put the two together even better.

Always remember to check trigger warnings before reading any of the books we discuss. Also please remember that these are our opinions and we are here to have some fun!

You can submit Bookclub requests for upcoming books you would like to hear us discuss to our email address (thiebff.bookclub1@gmail.com), as well as questions or topics you would also like for us to discuss.

And if you aren't sick of us yet, you will be soon !

Mate by Ali Hazelwood

On this week's episode we review Mate by Ali Hazelwood. In a crazy turn of events Teresa really liked this and Katie absolutely LOATHED this book. Whenever we can't agree on a book, it always makes for a fun conversation!
On this week's episode, we dive into all of our most recent reads. In a crazy turn of events, Katie has actually been reading more than Teresa. Teresa is still on her 'Red Rising' journey and of course Katie is continuing on her witchy/horror/thriller quest.
On this week's episode we interview author, Willow Aster, and discuss her newest book Take this Heart which is book one in her new Windy Harbor series. We discuss her backlog, whats coming next, and what motivates Willow to continue to produce heartwarming stories.
On this week's episode we discuss Brynne Weaver's newest release, Tourist Season and we LOVED IT. I mean who doesn't love when two hot serial killers fall in love?We also discuss TLOASG by Taylor Swift and spoiler alert we LOVED that too!
On this week's episode we deep dive into everything we've been reading and loving (or hating) lately which includes Red Rising and Dowry of Blood.
On this week's episode we dive in Dan Brown's newest release, The Secret of Secrets, that follows Robert Langdon on an adventure around Prague trying to solve the mystery of why Katherine Solomon's manuscript is being deemed a national security threat and has in turn put their lives at risk. We are bth HUGE Dan Brown fans, and this book delivered on all the reasons why we find his writing to be so entertaining. This book varies a lot from the previous Robert Langdon books as it focuses primarily on Katherine's area of expertise, noetic science, instead of Robert's area of expertise, symbolism and history. This book really made us self reflect and asked a lot of philosophical questions about the world and how we function within it.
TRIGGER WARNING NEGATIVE REVIEW INCOMING Unfortunately, on this week's episode we discuss Wild Card by Elsie Silver and let's just say we do not have anything positive to say about this one.
On this week's episode, we discuss all of our fall bookish recommendations, This includes some sports romances, paranormal romances, books about teen sleuths, and dark academia.
On this week's episode we discuss Phantasma by Kaylie Smith and we both LOVED it. This book was so fun, had such an interesting magic system, flawed but lovable characters, and an intriguing game of life and death.
On this week's episode we recap everything we've been reading and loving lately. We also recap the most important news of the week (century), Taylor Swift's engagement to Travis Kelce.
On this week's episode, we discuss Arcana Academy by Elisa Kova and as a shock to us both we really didn't like it. In fact, this is the podcast's first ever DNF by Katie. Teresa powered through but reluctantly.
On this week's episode we review some bookish news, discuss the Devney Perry event we attended in Brooklyn this past weekend, and of course deep dive into everything we've been reading and loving (or disliking) lately.
On this week's episode we discuss The Compound by Aisling Rawle which follows our FMC Lily's journey on a dystopian style Love Island. The overall concept of this book was incredibly unique and interesting, but we both felt like it lacked depth and took some issues with the storytelling.
On this week's episode the girls discuss everything they've been recently reading, all of their likes and even some dislikes. Katie is very much in her dark academia summer but Teresa is still strongly on her romance grind.
On this week's episode we recap These Summer Storms by Sarah MacLean which is full of family drama, a touch of mystery, inheritance games, and even some romance. This was such a FUN and entertaining book, it really scratched an itch we didn't even know we had. Whatever was in this, give us 14 more of em right now.
On this week's episode we recap all the books we've loved and the books we less than loved so if you aren't a fan of negative reviews this episode may not be the one for you - SORRY :)
On this week's episode we deep dive into The God of the Woods by Liz Moore. This is the podcasts first forray into a mystery/thriller and it did not disappoint. This one kept us on our toes the whole time and it was so much more than a typical 'who done it'!
On this week's episode we check-in and discuss our favorite reads so far in 2025. We go over our reading goals, talk about our five-star reads, best audiobooks, and honorable mentions!
