Hello and welcome to our first guest: V. A. Rudys.
Cam and I had the best time talking to this author and about his debut novel 'My Wife Jodie'. We talked about all things reading (obviously), writing (duh), and how dyslexia has played a part in his journey.
Cam also attempted to get a film role and Syd tried to explain why timezones make absolutely no sense.
Hosted by: @camalam_reads @itsjustbethg and @agooddayto_read, three best friends reading their way through their bookcases.
This month the organisation we are bringing attention to is Diabetes UK (https://www.diabetes.org.uk/). Something very dear to all of our lives as our beautiful host Cam is a Type 1 Diabetes advocate having lived with it for 11 years. Syd is taking part in Swim22 where from March 22 to June 22 she will swim the length of the English Channel in order to raise money for Diabetes UK - if you would like to donate here is the link: https://swim22.diabetes.org.uk/fundraising/sydney2021
If you do anything of us this month please let it be that you read up on Diabetes and educate yourself. You never know when you could actually help save someones life. To donate go to the JustGiving page linked above or call 0345 123 2399. We are so proud of everyone who lives with Diabetes and fights everyday.
Hello it's Beth and Syd! AND WELCOME TO MALIBU.
Or welcome to Beth and Syd's Agony Aunt Corner, where we talk about everything from dream proposals to best friends having your ex's baby. In April we read Taylor Jenkins Reid's 'Malibu Rising', if you couldn't guess from those topics...
It's getting a bit more serious in May, the book announcement as always is at the end of the podcast episode.
Hosted by: @camalam_reads @itsjustbethg and @agooddayto_read, three best friends reading their way through their bookcases.

Hello it's us again! I know two in one month - you lucky things. In March we read/devoured V. E. Schwab's The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue. So come and talk freckles, morally grey characters, and Sydney's ability to cry at books in 2022.
We hear Malibu is on fire - or perhaps it is simply the gossip. I guess we will find out with you when we announce the April Book-of-the-Month pick! Stick around for the end of the podcast to hear about this.
As Beth mentioned in the podcast here is the link for Read With Cindy's video on "Should white authors write non-white characters? *A closer look at the Whiteness of Addie LaRue*"

Ok so we know we are very late... but Happy Valentines Day!
We introduce some new sections in this podcast! We talk about rom-coms, Ciara Smith's The Falling in Love Montage, and Beth's next date. Welcome back to our witty ramblings and the first time we have all recorded together this year. You may have to turn your volume up for this month as it seems we were trying to whisper sweet nothings in your ears - you are so welcome.
March's read is well and truly finished for all of us so if you read Addie LaRue make sure to keep an eye out for the next Chapter coming soon!
Hosted by: @camalam_reads @itsjustbethg and @agooddayto_read three best friends reading their way through their bookcases.

Happy International Women's Day! You may not have heard from us yet this month (we miss you!) but we wanted to wish all the ladies out there a Happy International Women's Day.
Syd talks to you about #breakingthebias and gives you some book recommendations written by women about women. Talking about diverse stories and books that talk about real and current topics. Cam pops in to recommend a book whilst on holiday skiing. And Beth is learning her lines for the opening night of one of her plays, break a leg Beth!

This month the organisation we are bringing attention to is Women's Aid (https://www.womensaid.org.uk/), a charity that simply saves lives and educates and informs on domestic abuse.
Many women struggle to escape the abuse permanently, build their independence, and get their lives back. Women's Aid is here to help, at any time. They will also teach you how to cover your track online so if needed you can search for help without fear. Here is that link for more information: https://www.womensaid.org.uk/cover-your-tracks-online/
The first read of 2022 is here!
And yes it is fairy smut in its finest form. Of course we read ACOTAR and safe to say that this is an episode of us dedicating our souls to Sarah J. Maas. Listen to us fall in love with Rhysand, talk about other 5 star reads, and get Amy to guess the riddle.
We are ready for the month of love next month with our read, make sure to listen out for it at the end of the podcast!

Hi all, it’s Cam here, reporting from snowy France! I’m sending my postcard from the French Alps where I talk about the snow (lots of it but never too much), anniversaries (6 years), clubbing (with old men) and good food (exceptionally so).
Hosted by: @camalam_reads @itsjustbethg and @agooddayto_read, three best friends reading their way through their bookcases.
This month the organisation we are bringing attention to is Crisis (https://www.crisis.org.uk/get-involved/donate-to-crisis-at-christmas/), the national charity for homeless people.
They help with helping people off the streets, finding a home, getting new skills and finding a job. At this time of year where the streets can get to below freezing this charity could not be more important. They have a blog for more information: https://www.crisis.org.uk/about-us/the-crisis-blog/

It's Christmas time! Or it was Christmas time. And we made some choices this month.
Beth chose the equivalent of a Hallmark Christmas movie.
Cam went down the colours of Christmas route.
Syd went for a good ol'Christmas story retelling.
January's read is (secretly) revealed at the end of the episode - and it's about to get a bit Tinker Bell in here. But maybe the adult version.
