The concept of circularity is central to the global Net Zero objective. Ensuring batteries are directed to their best use after serving their original purpose, when up to 80% of their energy capacity is still available, is critical to achieving to that goal. But circularity won’t happen by itself – potential buyers and sellers need confidence in the market, with data, traceability and transparency. That requires a whole ecosystem of technology to make the market function efficiently. I'm joined by William Bergh, CEO and Founder of Cling Systems to discuss the innovation necessary to enable battery circularity.   Speaker Notes: William Bergh | CEO & Founder | Cling Systems https://www.linkedin.com/in/william-bergh-500746104/   Show Notes: The Battery Tech Expo | Silverstone, UK | 26th & 27th March 2025 Free Ticket Link: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/battery-tech-expo-tickets-910569787747?aff=oddtdtcreator   Advertising and Sponsorship For companies looking to reach a global audience of battery professionals, the Battery Technology Podcast is the perfect place to promote your products and services in a thought-provoking way. There’s a lot going on in the battery technology and manufacturing space at the moment. A lot of moving parts. And as 2024 moves into our rear-view mirrors, its a good time to take stock of the year, fix our position and look for pointers as to what we can look forward to in 2025.   Speaker Notes: https://www.linkedin.com/in/charlieparker-ratel-consulting/   The Battery Technology Podcast is sponsored by Munters - Global leaders in energy-efficient air treatment and climate solutions.   https://www.munters.com/en/   Vaisala - Accurate moisture and concentration measurements for battery manufacturing upstream, midstream and downstream operations.   www.vaisala.com/battery   The Gigafactory & Battery Manufacturing Expo | Huntsville | AL | June 2025   The perfect opportunity to explore the next stage of the battery revolution as we move from the laboratory into the battery manufacturing phase.   Held over two days and featuring a world class speaker agenda, thought-provoking seminars and a wide variety of product demonstrations, the event will showcase the development of Next Generation manufacturing equipment, services and facilities that will be needed to create a globally competitive battery manufacturing industry.   It’s the ideal way to connect with thousands of senior professionals across the rapidly developing battery manufacturing industry, looking to design, automate and operate the next generation of Gigafactories. ken.davies@2030netzeroltd.com   https://gigafactoryexpo.com/
One of the challenges facing battery manufacturers is how to design and operate manufacturing facilities to minimise operational cost. One major consideration will always be how to achieve the desired level of climate control, I spoke with Andre Meyer of Munters to discuss best practice and how battery manufacturers can help themselves by taking the necessary steps to minimise adding to the heat load within a facility.   Speaker Notes: André Meyer , Head of Key Application Sales | Automotive & Battery at Munters GmbH https://www.linkedin.com/in/andr%C3%A9-meyer-441017115/   The Battery Technology Podcast is sponsored by Munters - Global leaders in energy-efficient air treatment and climate solutions.   https://www.munters.com/en/   Vaisala - Accurate moisture and concentration measurements for battery manufacturing upstream, midstream and downstream operations.   www.vaisala.com/battery   The Gigafactory & Battery Manufacturing Expo | Huntsville | AL | June 2025   The perfect opportunity to explore the next stage of the battery revolution as we move from the laboratory into the battery manufacturing phase.   Held over two days and featuring a world class speaker agenda, thought-provoking seminars and a wide variety of product demonstrations, the event will showcase the development of Next Generation manufacturing equipment, services and facilities that will be needed to create a globally competitive battery manufacturing industry.   It’s the ideal way to connect with thousands of senior professionals across the rapidly developing battery manufacturing industry, looking to design, automate and operate the next generation of Gigafactories. ken.davies@2030netzeroltd.com   https://gigafactoryexpo.com/     Advertising and Sponsorship   For companies looking to reach a global audience of battery professionals, the Battery Technology Podcast is the perfect place to promote your products and services in a thought-provoking way.   With thousands of downloads per month, a 5* rating on both Apple & Spotify, and a rapidly growing European and US audience, it’s the perfect place to connect with professionals across the battery technology sector.   For sponsorship and advertising opportunities and to reach our rapidly growing audience, please contact:   ken.davies@gsemedialtd.com
Lithium-Ion batteries have become the portable power technology of choice, the problem is, energy density improvements are not keeping pace with the ever-increasing demand for performance, and that’s a problem. One technology that has the potential to deliver a step change in performance is the development of silicon-based anodes, due to the far greater energy capacity of silicon compered to graphite. In this episode I’m joined by Jeff Helm of NanoGraf Corporation to discuss the potential benefits and challenges of developing silicon-based anodes.   Speaker Notes: Jeff Helm | VP of Sales and Marketing at NanoGraf Corporation https://www.linkedin.com/in/jeff-helm-38400511/   NanoGraf Corporation https://www.nanograf.com/     Show Notes: The Battery Technology Podcast is sponsored by Munters - Global leaders in energy-efficient air treatment and climate solutions. https://www.munters.com/en/   Vaisala - Accurate moisture and concentration measurements for battery manufacturing upstream, midstream and downstream operations. www.vaisala.com/battery   The Gigafactory & Battery Manufacturing Expo | Huntsville | AL | June 2025 Held at the Von Braun Center, Huntsville, AL, the Gigafactory and Battery Manufacturing Expo provides the perfect opportunity to explore the next stage of the battery revolution as we move from the laboratory into the battery manufacturing phase.   Held over two days and featuring a world class speaker agenda , thought-provoking seminars, a wide variety of product demonstrations and networking opportunities, the event will showcase the development of next-generation manufacturing equipment, services and facilities that will be needed to create a globally competitive battery manufacturing industry   ken.davies@2030netzeroltd.com https://gigafactoryexpo.com/   Advertising and Sponsorship For companies looking to reach a global audience of battery professionals, the Battery Technology Podcast is the perfect place to promote your products and services in a thought-provoking way.
