Honestly kind of disappointed with this episode. I thought there could have been more of a discussion about class in the film and how it's affected by the insurance industry. The Hispanic truck driver in the film was played by a Spanish actor. They could have looked that up pretty easily, just assuming it was an actor in brown-face seemed very lazy.

I am a huge fan, and as a Mexican immigrant, I'm very happy to see you guys stand with us. As a human being married to a Jewish man, I am deeply heartbroken to hear you guys spread antisemitic libel about jewish people and Israel. 95% of the Jewish people in the world are zionists. From one feminist to another I beg you to do more research on the issue and listen to Jewish voices (not just the 5% that is anti Israel)

They keep saying it's weird how Roxanne never reappears after this movie even though she's so remembered I wish someone told them about House of Mouse the Disney cartoon where she reappears with Max on occasion.
Aldo Ojeda
This was a great interview!

Honestly, I was pretty disappointed in this episode. Considering Broey Deschanel is one of Jamie's favorite video essayists, I'm surprised Jamie didn't reflect on Broey's essay about this film and the rich film history of camp and genre fluidity that is intertwined with the film. It seemed like a huge wasted opportunity that was replaced with tedious, sanctimonious pearl clutching about the subject matter.
