New year, who dis? Welcome all to the 1st episode of 2024. It just so happens to be a new It Came from the Cellar show. For this episode I drink and dissect a beer that is around 8 years old. Despertado en Manzanilla, a Wild Ale with chamomile brewed by a local San Antonio brewery, Freetail Brewing Company. Actually, it's a lot more complicated than that. Please listen to the episode to get the full details of this crazy one-off beer from 2015. I pair this amazing beer with an equally amazing song from a local San Antonio band, Haunter. You definitely don't want to miss that! For the Fright Feature Report segment, I take a trip back to 1995 as I watched and reviewed the movie The Fear. Remember that one? If not, check out my breakdown and review of this flick.

Greetings Beer Geeks, Metal Freaks, and Horror Whores and welcome to another episode of IT CAME FROM THE CELLAR, the mini podcast brought to you by Beer Metal Media, Home of The Beer Metal Show Podcast. For today's show, I drank and dissected the flavor profile of a 10-year-old beer. Wrecking Ball Imperial Stout by No-Li Brewhouse from Spokane, WA. I paired this beer with the most perfect Metal Connection song, a song by the Thrash Metal monsters from Ireland, GAMA BOMB. For the Fright Feature Report segment, I watched and give you a good outline and review of the 2007 movie, The Girl Next Door. All of this great info packed into a 30-minute episode. So, if you want to know what a 10-year-old beer would be like, be sure to listen in. Thank you for being a Beer Metal Warrior!

Hello Beer Geeks & Metal Freaks! Did you miss me? Yeah I know, it's been 3 months since my last BMS episode. Sorry about that. But hey, I am back with a jam-packed episode of all the good stuff... Craft Beer and Fuckin' Metal! This is episode 52. Please join me while I drink and dissect four amazing beers from a couple of Texas breweries, Fort Brewery and Martin House Brewing Company, both out of Fort Worth, TX. From Fort Brewery, I drank and dissected 1849 Irish Red Ale, Grey Eagle Hefeweizen, and Ocho American IPA. From the infamous Martin House Brewing Company, I had their Tropical Salty Lady Gose. I paired each of these beers with a Metal Connection song. As I always do, I take you through a journey through a band's career, playing a song from each of their full length albums from their beginning to the most recent. In this case, since our featured band, HELLOWEEN has had such a long career spanning over 40 decades and 18 full length albums, I decided to break up their career into 2 parts. The 1st part of their career is this episode, which is titled Craft Beer Invaders, a play on words to one of Helloween's songs, Metal Invaders. You are in for a treat!

Welcome to episode 51 of The Beer Metal Show Podcast. Please join me while I drink and dissect four amazing beers from a couple of my favorite Texas breweries, 8th Wonder Brewery out of Houston and Kunstler Brewing from right here in San Antonio. I had two variants of 8th Wonder's Haterade Gose, the Watermelon and the Wild Berry. From Kunstler I had the Auster Bier, a delicious Oyster Stout and I closed the show with their Triple IPA called Texas Chainsaw. I paired each of these beers with a Metal Connection song. As a little treat for you all, I take you through the career of one of Sweden's finest Goregrind bands, Regurgitate. This episode's title, Disgorging Craft Beer, is a play on words to one of Regurgitate's songs, Disgorging Foetus. Trust me, you are about to get ear spanked!

Hell yeah! I finally made it to episode 50! it only took me 5 years to get here. hahaha! I am very proud of this one. I went through the career of one of the founding fathers of Death Metal, Mr. Chuck Schuldiner and his bands DEATH and CONTROL DENIED. What a major influence DEATH had on Extreme Metal. I titled this episode "Scream Bloody Beer" which is a play on words to the song Scream Bloody Gore by DEATH. I played my favorite tracks from each of their full-length albums. You are in for a musical treat! I also drank and dissected 4 amazing beers, all from the same brewery, Cowtown Brewing Company out of Fort Worth, TX. Each beer gets a great Metal Connection pairing. Welcome to episode 14 of my mini episodes, which I call “It Came from the Cellar.” On these mini episodes, I will be reviewing a beer which I have held in my cellar for years. These episodes will be small with just one beer, one Metal Connection song and a Horror Movie review with the segment, Fright Feature Report. On this episode I reviewed RU-55 (Blend #7 03.16.17), a 7% Flanders Red Sour Ale fermented in neutral oak barrels for 8 to 14 months with their mixed culture prior to blending. They also brew this beer with three different base malts (Pilsner, Two Row, Munich) and four different caramel malts (C-60, C-120, Carared, and Melanoidin), which is different than their typical grain bill used in most of their beers. This beer comes from Jester King Brewery out of Austin, TX. I paired this excellent beer with a killer tune by the band Nominon from Sweden. I also watched and reviewed the movie Cadaver (2020), which is streaming on Netflix right now. Thank you for tuning in.

Welcome to episode 10 of my mini episodes, which I call “It Came from the Cellar.” On these mini episodes, I will be reviewing a beer which I have held in my cellar for years. These episodes will be small with just one beer, one Metal Connection song and now I am including a Horror Movie review with my new segment, Fright Feature Report. On this episode I reviewed The 5th Anniversary Beer, an 11.4% Barleywine by No label Brewing Company from Katy, TX. I pair this excellent beer with a killer tune by the band, Tartaros from Norway. I also watched and reviewed the movie The Visitor (1979). Thank you for tuning in.
