Description

America's funniest auto mechanics take calls from weary car owners all over the country, and crack wise while they diagnose Dodges and dismiss Diahatsus. You don't have to know anything about cars to love this one hour weekly laugh fest.
4 Episodes
Reverse
This week on the Best of Car Talk, Savannah wants to decorate her Plymouth Sundance with rhinestones because, well, they couldn't make it look worse, could they? Is she going to appear even more wacko by asking Tom and Ray for advice? Elsewhere, Peter may wish that the whining sound coming from his car is his mother-in-law after he finds out what it's going to cost to make it go away; over in Germany, Steve is wondering whether his Tracer can survive keeping up with the BMWs going 100 on the Autobahn; and Richard is so desperate to find out why his cab has vapor lock, he's willing to kick out a passenger so he can talk to Tom and Ray. All this, plus one listener's fond Puzzler memory, and lots more, this week on The Best of Car Talk.
This week on the Best of Car Talk, thanks to modern research we can decipher what your mechanic is trying to tell you through his grunts. Meanwhile, Liz can only communicate her Volvo's steering problem through song. Elsewhere, Marni wants to pay tribute to her departed dad by pouring some of his ashes into his beloved Corvette's gas tank; Su (yes, that's how she spells it) wants to use a hair dryer to straighten her dented fender; and is the whirring noise Eric is hearing the death-bed cry of his Saab's turbo? Also, advice for Noah who's "going away" for a year, and wants his van to start when he gets back. All this and more, this week on The Best of Car Talk.
This week on the Best of Car Talk, Laurie's Pathfinder earned the unfortunate nickname "Wobble Butt" because its rear end rocks from side to side. Can Tom and Ray calm Wobble Butt down and save it from further embarrassment? Elsewhere, Bob wants to know just how wacko his brother in law is for proposing adding duct work to improve the heat in Bob's mom's car. Also, Ellen's dad scolded her for having too many keys on her key ring; Chris got a little aggressive with his Dremel tool on his Camry; and Ray shares the joys (and terrors) of teaching middle school, while trying to help Susannah strengthen her anemic windshield wiper squirt. All this and more, this week on The Best of Car Talk.
This week on The Best of Car Talk, Chris has flowers growing in his Belvedere, after birdseed got into his fresh air vent. To make matters worse, a kid stuffed chunks of blue cheese in the vents, so the car is stinky, too. Elsewhere, good intentions go really bad when Todd buys his girlfriend a 1973 Ford LTD, on the premise it would be safe and easy to work on. The car's loud backfire has led to one dead cat, several deceased goldfish, and one very strained relationship. Also, Andy wants to know if electronic gizmos can improve his Suburban's gas mileage to, say, 5 miles per gallon; and Dari wants to know if her truck is safe to drive, or sell, after falling off a lift. If she decides to sell, does she need to mention it?

I wonder if you could have filled the space with liquid water and then just gently placed it in instead of the ice cubes

Click n Clack, please don't stop.!. (^^,) 5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Never be afraid to try something new. Remember: Amateurs built the ark. Professionals built the Titanic. This is all reruns of a hilarious and best radio show ever. Made by Tom and Ray Magliozzi from 1977 to 2012. If you need a good laugh or any tips to your car, this is the podcast you will like and love. If you like a bit of fun reading, this page can help you find a gold nugget or two. https://www.cartalk.com/radio/letter Go to here and find the audio part you are missing, it may help you. https://www.cartalk.com/radio/browse Or you can maybe find it here. https://m.youtube.com/channel/UC5mDbuFYFtTGgwOJnCYLmug And the best quote from the late Tom (2014) is this ; "Life’s hard, but it’s a lot harder… if you’re stupid." More info... Click and Clack, the Tappet brothers (alter-egos of Tom and Ray Magliozzi) as they try to fix cars, fend off disgruntled customers and seek out increasingly creative ways to goof off. They are two Boston-bred brothers who own a small neighborhood car garage and co-host a nationally syndicated talk radio show. At times, Click and Clack are almost like two halves of one brain. Motivated by the desire to escape their daily grind, Click and Clack continually become distracted, following their curiosity and ideas down various pathways that usually get them into some sort of trouble. But it's always interesting trouble. And they are funny and will be missed. https://www.cartalk.com/sites/default/files/bestmoments/201703.mp3
