On the BIG thought this week we had the pleasure of hearing Najee's powerful and emotive story. Najee describes the difficult and challenging conditions he had to contend with growing up in the midlands of the UK. Najee gives an open and honest account of his life up until this point, talking about his difficult upbringing, caring for a parent that struggled with addiction, the joy and solace he found in sport, and how life profoundly changed after the tragic passing of his mother. This inspiring story is a testament to his strong will and determination to not let life be poisoned with hate and despair, instead, facing his problems with love and understanding, drawing him closer to people and opportunities that would ultimately change his life for the better.
An incredible insightful interview with one of the UK's leading sports psychologists. Join us as we delve deeper into the things that drive us to succeed and the conditions that best help cultivate that. We quickly identify communication as being one of t he key points and look at the 10 components that allow us to communicate best from Tim Harkness's new book The 10 rules of Talking.
In this episode, we have an inspirational chat with Gayle Davies as she tells us and the rest of the world for the first time about her struggles living with bipolar and how it has inspired her to start charities in Africa and the UAE to support those suffering from the same condition.
Winston and I delve a little deeper into the socio-economic reasons as to why end up in these scenarios over and over again. Are we set up to fail with a system that is not conducive for harmony? What are the root causes and what can we do to resolve the problems we as a society face.
