Beyond saving ones own life, there are opportunities to safely come to the aid of others, and beyond that there are professions that are unlocked by our comfort and ability to safely navigate the element that covers nearly 70% of our planet: water. Unfortunately, for many minority populations and also for low income families the disparities in number on preventable drownings per year are staggering.
