The boys discuss all things Disney: from Oscar winning film ‘Nomadland’, through final episodes of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier’ to reaction to Marvel Studios trailer that celebrates movies. They also mention Golden Globes losing their broadcaster and Noel Clarke accusations. If you wonder why this episode is that long, the answer is short: they both (but mainly Conor) like to rant about things, even when they don’t seem to care that much. Luckily none of them needed to use a bucket to survive this long session. But the dog was really hungry!   00:00:00 Into News 00:02:45 Marvel Studios Celebrates The Movies - watch the trailer here  00:20:35 NBC will not broadcast Golden Globes 2022… unless they change! 00:29:20 Noel Clarke accusations - check The Guardian article here  00:43:40 Trailer reaction: Venom: Let There Be Carnage - watch trailer here  Reviews 00:55:50 Nomadland (Disney+) 01:38:00 The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, episodes 4-6 (Disney+) 01:46:45 Spoilers!   Thank you so much for listening! A year and two months after the very first episode of The Block Busters hit the internet, two white males, Rado and Conor, talk about Oscars again! This time it's the 93rd Annual Academy Awards and they are even more passionate and relevant than before. Conor doesn't rant about anything special this time, but when Rado asks him about his blind love to Chloe Zhao, he reveals his true face. We again mispronounce some names and titles. Not because we don't care, just because this is our style. And we agree more that we disagree and that’s the biggest surprise of the evening. Bigger than Daniel Kaluuya's speech that left his mom puzzled. Thank you so much for listening! Subscribe, rate and comment on our show. Please also recommend our rants to your friends and enemies. In the strongest film line up so far this year Conor and Rado discuss three new interesting movies. No argument is spared this week when discussing Letterboxd rating, so get ready for some sparks flying and name calling. This episode also marks a milestone when it comes to making live music jingles. We know it’s still winter and sometimes it gets a little bit nippy, so we decided to share some of our heat (Is this appropriate? Probably not!) with you, dear listeners. We get fired up from the start over discussing price of TV license, Gina Carano’s social media outburst that costed her a role, Zack Snyder’s Justice League trailer and when reviewing films and - especially - WandaVision. Was 2020 the best year for TV content yet? Not far off! With many more starts and high-profile directors drawn to making their way to the small screen we had really exciting year on our hands and there was plenty shows to choose from. And so many surprises! We jumped through the hoops with Michael Jordan, made bad decisions with Jimmy McGill, meditated on the meaning of life in Amaya HQ, danced to reggae in Notting Hill and got bored in Sligo with Connell and Marianne. Stay with us till the very end where we discuss what good 2021 might bring us.   Conor’s top TV Shows of 2020: ? With year 2020 behind us Rado and Conor gather together (in their own bubbles) to reflect on it and discuss their favourite movies of that forsaken year. It doesn’t come to anyone’s surprise that their choices are completely different… for many reasons! The criteria for their lists is simple: we take into account only movies released in the UK (cinemas, streaming platforms and VOD) in 2020. Stay until the end to take a sneak peak at what 2021 might bring in the post-credit scene. Enjoy!   List of Conor’s favourite movies. In the longest (so far) instalment of our show we go back to the roots of cinema and we discuss a timeless classic - Orson Wells’ ‘Citizen Kane’. And that’s our starting point for a review of David Fincher’s ‘Mank’. Large part of our news section is devoted to the fact that Warner Bros. will premiere all of their 2021 movies on HBO Go, not only in cinemas. What are the implication of that for the whole industry? And finally, we dive into two recent episodes of adventures of galaxy’s favourite Child and his masked minder, aka ‘Mandalorian’. To binge or not to binge - this is the question! We try to answer this when discussing ‘The Crown’, ‘Mandalorian’ and other TV shows we’ve been watching over the year. We review ‘Mangrove’, first of five Steve McQueen’s movies (or episodes?) that is a part of the ‘Small Axe’ anthology series. And we continue to discuss series 2 of ‘Mandalorian’, that’s getting better and better. Apart from that, as always, we have a lot of news, film recommendations and the usual nonsense that somehow slips into the episode.   00:00 It's Beginning to Sound a Lot Like Christmas   News: 11:40 ‘Wild Mountain Thyme’ trailer reaction  18:49 ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ release date for cinemas and HBO Max  22:50 ‘Wandavision’ premiere date  26:02 Disney considering releasing more movies on Disney+  30:58 Who’s replacing Johnny Depp in ‘Fantastic Beasts’ franchise?  33:30 ‘The Last of Us’ ordered to series by HBO  35:15 Spike Lee will make a musical about Viagra!    What Have We’ve Been Watching: Conor: 36:50 Coca-Cola Christmas Commercial 37:35 ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ and ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’ (in 4K and Dolby Vision) Rado: 41:45 ‘National Lampoon’s Vacation’ (Netflix) 44:28 ‘Deep Impact’ (Netflix) 48:04 ‘The Great British Bake Off’ (Channel 4) 50:30 ’The Crown’ (Netflix)   We recommend: ‘Parasite’ (Amazon Prime) and how visual effects are used in the movie    Reviews: 1:06:18 ‘Mangrove’ (‘Small Axe’ miniseries, BBC) 1:26:20 ‘Mandalorian’ Season 2, episodes 3 and 4 (Disney+)   Thank you for listening.
