Today the Blokes in Your Ear bring you our good friend Hernan 'Spice' Pavez. Spice has been working in the fitness world for years and has built up an extensive knowledge of the human body, Strength & Conditioning, injury prevention and how to succeed in the sporting and health arena. Spice has worked with athletes, clients with long term health disease and a range of people so far. He has a Masters of Exercise Physiology, is a Strength & Conditioning Coach and is currently completing his Masters of Physiotherapy. We're back baby! :)  This week on the show Tom flies solo and gives the BIYE listener an update of what the crew have been up to in 2022. Some big life changes have been made and many new experiences have been had. From moving to the Northern Territory, to Travelling Thailand, many fun adventures have taken place as well as some hurdles and challenges that come along with stepping out of your comfort zone and going against the grain of people's expectations. This week we have young gun cricketer and all round good bloke Brayden Stepien on the show. ‘Stepo’ as he’s better known is a prolific left-handed batsman that likes to play aggressively and take the game by the scruff off its neck. He is a Bendigo local, starting out playing for White Hills cricket club and making the move down to Melbourne to try his hand at premier cricket, playing for Carlton and featuring in the Melbourne renegades’ team in the BBL. Stepo recently moved down to Tasmania for a lifestyle change as well as to open up more opportunities for his cricket career. It was fun to sit down with Stepo and have a chat about his junior cricket days in Bendigo and the changes that he’s made as he has progressed through the ranks with his training, diet and professionalism. Stepo gives sound advice to young people and anyone who’s looking to achieve something in their life. He reflects on how far he has come and what his plans and aspirations are for the future. We also chat about a few funny stories from Stepo’s footy career.
This week on the show we have superstar Matthew Richardson, better known as ‘Richo’.  Richo had an amazing career playing in the AFL for the Richmond Tigers for 16 seasons. He shared what it was like growing up in Tasmania, playing sport and having a Father that played for Richmond. He also shared his philosophy on work ethic and how he strived to be the best he can be, along with some funny stories and insights from his playing days and his transition into the media. Richo has recently become a father and we talk about how this has changed his perspective on life. Jackie is a professional poker player, with over $1 Million in winnings, placing her in the top 30 Australian players of all time. She discussed how she got into the game and the lack of representation for females within the elite players.  It was a pleasure to discuss life, poker and more and we hope you enjoy :)
Ricky Nixon is a high profile personality in the AFL world. After playing multiple VFL seasons across 3 clubs, Ricky create an empire of player management, recruiting the likes of Gary Ablett Sr., Wayne Carey, Tony Lockett and more! He spoke to use about his time growing up as a Bendigo boy, being picked up by Carlton, and life after footy. Ricky has now moved on from the game and is looking to do good where he can within Australia through his charity Kicking for Cancer and his business Vital Health Checks. He was great to chat to and we got some great life lessons and stories along the way! Enjoy!
Paul Worsteling is a sport fisherman, television and radio host and entrepreneur, best known for his work on TV, hosting over 500 episodes of IFish. Paul discusses how he started out as a fisherman and the steps he took (and challenges he faced) to become one of Australia's best known fishing hosts. He gives some great words of advice for budding business starters and fisherman, as well as some great life lessons and stories that shaped his experiences in life so far.
