Curtis here, this week the gang (Benner, Mattis, Stine, myself) was sans Chris but joined by Eddie (from the Oscar Edition) as we discussed the upcoming summer movie season. We also review "Pain and Gain" and "Oblivion." Ant Man also gets some serious grief. We only talk movies this week and we saved you all an aisle seat. Enjoy.
Hey all, Curtis here, despite the title we don’t say anything negative about Roger Ebert—we respect love, and eulogize the man, but I do botch my audio review of Trance. He would not be pleased. We mix things up this week by leading off with movies. We talk Evil Dead redux, Mattis makes a vain attempts to defend Rob Zombie and… that doesn’t go well. Benner and myself also talk “The Place Beyond the Pines” which goes fine. Benner, Stine and Lemchi also talk about Wrestlemania and the post-Wrestlemania doldrums experienced by the WWE. And Curtis' Corner implodes. It's a show!
What’s up, y’all? Alex here, once again, as we ring in the greatest time of the year. That’s right, it’s WrestleMania and we’ve got an according podcast. Chris joins the show once again as he, myself, and Stine have an amazing, and discovering, conversation of just what ‘Mania represents and what it means to us. The three of us put together a collective Top Ten Matches of WrestleMania list and we count ‘em down. Agree? Disagree? Let us know! For the second part of the show, Benner (finally sober) and Curtis join us and we rundown a catalog of films. We discuss a documentary about a few boys from West Memphis, Steve Carell and Jim Carrey’s last venture is discussed, and there’s an interesting dialogue about the polarizing Spring Breakers. I’m sure some unnecessary hate is dished out along the way. We close previewing the WrestleMania 29 card. We all have conflicted views heading in… Be sure to go to ROHwrestling.com this Friday night for their iPPV. Kevin Steen Vs. Jay Briscoe?! C’mon, son!!! Enjoy!
Curtis here; Benner and Lemchi sit this week out so Mattis and myself are joined by our friend Hatley and Stine makes a triumphant return from SXSW. Stine runs us down the festival highlights, Hatley talks about the Houston Rockets, and we talk drugs in sports. In movies, Stine reviews Spring Breakers; me and him talk The Godfather films in Curtis' Corner; and the latest in WWE Studios films are put on the chopping block. This episode is one of our normal length, par for the course types, and, as always, different people bring a slightly different energy to the show but you'll love it so who cares.
