My grandfather had a thing about taking pictures of people in their casket after they died! but he framed them & my grandparents had a photo of my grandmas dead sister in her casket on the wall in the living room in 10x13 size! & then he took a picture of my grandma in her casket & hung it beside it, & after he passed my mom inherited their things & she ended up with a box full of pictures of dead family members in their caskets! She just has them in the attic because she doesn't know what to do with them!

Out of curiosity I had to know if Disney employees are allowed to have facial hair. Turns out Disney just recently reviewed its dress code policy and decided men are allowed facial hair as long as its shorter than a quarter inch, however soul patches are still banned.

just now realized I didn't listen to this whole episode and now I must share my misheard lyric story. As I child I would blurt out singing with Steven Tyler saying "DO THE LOCK A LAY LAY" because my siblings didn't correct me that it was Dude Looks Like A Lady until i was 14!

Releasing a body part requires a mortgage-level amount of paperwork unless you're a Native American

My great-great-great-great uncle, John Wesley Hardin, did actually shoot a man for snoring too loud. #funfamilyhistory

I took a solo trip to Slovakia when I was 18, and both times I ate pizza, it had your typical cheese, tomato sauce, and..corn? It's apparently a common topping, usually alongside ham!! PS: it was delicious 🌽

The embarrassing story page was always my favorite part of the teen magazines too! I never thought they were long enough. The story that always stuck with me for some reason was the girl who was wearing shorts in public when her bf decided to be helpful and pull on a loose string hanging out. It was her tampon. Also the girl who had to be asked to control herself at the dentist because she didn't realize her half numb tongue was chasing the dental tech's fingers around her mouth because his gloves were flavored.

The song "what do you want from life?" by a band called The Tubes released in February of 1978 has as it's last (spoken) line "a baby's arm holding an apple" I'm now wondering when that Penthouse forum letter was published.

Kevin Bales Yes! The Tubes are one of my favorites. I was wondering if anyone would reference them! Well done! The article came first and it inspired Fee Waybill!

Ivar the boneless had no bones in his legs. He was carried on a shield by his men. Ew.

Brian McMurry I read a couple of different translations of what the boneless part of his name actually meant. My son calls himself Ivar the bone crusher 🤷‍♀️ may be we have translated it wrong 🤣

I really can't be shocked about eating ashes of dung because people ate the ashes of their family members' hearts to prevent dying from consumption. Because they believed that family member was basically a vampire.

I saw a History series on the World Wars and Hitler supposedly got his trademark mustache because his long mustache didn't allow the gas mask to lock on and he was gassed because of it.

not sure you can say Kurt has had the same cultural impact as Janice or Jim - sorry Kurt is more my era but I think the impact of the Doors or early Stones, more have been influenced by so so many others, just frustrates me
