Can we have nice things in the City of Philadelphia? On the news that Joel Embiid is back and ready to go for the Philadelphia 76ers, we get word out of the Eagles locker room - after a win - that there may be some dissention in the ranks. Can A.J. Brown, Jalen Hurts and the Eagles' offense get things sorted out before the postseason? Also, we discuss what the latest vote by City Council means for the future of the Sixers' new arena.
Given that the Philadelphia Eagles took care of business against the Baltimore Ravens this past weekend, is it OK to be irrationally confident about the team's chances at a Super Bowl trophy? We debate that topic as well as the possible dilemma surrounding Saquon Barkley's run towards Eric Dickerson's rushing record. Later in the show, we share our thoughts on one of the more shocking developments in the history of WWE.
Is Eagles/Ravens a Super Bowl preview? We're not exactly sure, but we'll tell you what we'll take out of an Eagles' win (or loss) on Sunday. On this episode, we also explain why we've taken issue with Joel Embiid's recent behavior when it comes to the Sixers, and give you a preview of WWE's Survivor Series PLE.
We should be focused more on the local football team, but the Philadelphia 76ers continue to surround themselves with an unimaginable amount of drama. Early-season team meetings, snitches, injuries... it's basically a soap opera in South Philly. Fortunately, we have something positive to cheer about as the Eagles rip off win after win...
Welcome to the Big Show, Jared McCain! The Sixers' rookie is turning heads with his fearless play and is ALMOST good enough to help you ignore the team's terrible start to the season. But before we talk about him, we'll keep enjoying the ride that the Philadelphia Eagles are taking us on... do they have enough juice to keep the train rolling against the Washington Commanders?
If it wasn't for bad luck, the Sixers would have no luck at all. But at least we have a football team in town that was pretty lucky last weekend! We'll discuss the differing fortunes between the Sixers and the Eagles, and debate when the local basketball team will be able to start turning things around.
For those of you who have had unwavering faith in the Philadelphia Eagles, that faith is finally paying dividends. The same can't be said for fans of the Philadelphia 76ers, who are digging themselves a bit of a hole with Joel Embiid and Paul George on the shelf. Later in the show, Kris and Roy discuss what they think happens next with the Bloodline saga.
The Eagles beat the brakes off of the Giants for their second turnover-free victory in a row. We'll decide how much we can read into the win, but first... in SixersLand, the fanbase is - by and large - absolutely disgusted at the news that Joel Embiid will miss the first week of the season. Is he injured? Is he out of shape? Is this all part of the plan? Kris and Roy will debate that as best they can.
Have the Eagles turned the corner? It's hard to say, but Sunday's win over the Browns is a decent sign that this is a... decent team. No turnovers for Jalen and the crew - hopefully, this holds up with the Giants on deck this weekend. Also, the Sixers were hit with a flurry of injury news this past week... will they have enough time to build up chemistry by the time the playoffs hit?
It wasn't supposed to end like this... not even halfway through October, and the Philadelphia Phillies have already been sent home by the New York Mets. Kris and Roy debate what went wrong and how the team can fix their issues going forward. Later in the show, the two squeeze in some time to talk about the local baseball team, and try to figure out exactly what Dwayne was doing at the end of Bad Blood.
Week 5 byes are usually too early in the season for most teams, but it comes at just the right time this year for the 2-2 Philadelphia Eagles. With a pretty soft schedule coming after the week off, can the Birds rebound and put together a decent run? Kris and Roy debate that question, and decide if this is the year that we should believe that Joel Embiid will learn his lesson and pace himself throughout the regular season.
When you don't drive the car, but often grab the wheel and crash into a telephone pole (i.e. Nick Sirianni), what does that make you? We answer that question, pour out some love for Zach Lowe, and lament the loss of the Athletics to Oakland.
The Eagles gave one away earlier this week against the Falcons... can the right the ship in time for their trip to the Big Easy? We'll answer that question on this week's episode, and we also go over the pros and cons of the Philadelphia 76ers finallly coming to an agreement to building a new arena in Center City.
It was a win, but it wasn't a pretty one... we'll talk about the Eagles victory in Sao Paolo, and what they need to clean up ahead of their Week 2 showdown with the Falcons. We also celebrate the (temporary) return of Monday Night Raw to 2 hours.
This is the big one: The 2024 Philadelphia Eagles predictions that are sure to go wrong are released as the Birds - who are worth a clean SEVEN BILLION DOLLARS - deal with the fallout of some unauthorized political ads.
No real surprises as the Eagles set their 53-man roster for the 2024 season. Kris and Roy take some time to run down the best fantasy football options for the 2024, and raise a glass to Eddie Kingston who says that Madden 25 is trash.
Hopefully, Jahan Dotson is the savior for the Birds at WR3. But if we're worried about WR3 more than anything else, do we really have any worries at all? Also, when the game is on the line for the Sixers, who takes the last shot?
Ladies and gentlemen... we have returned from a brief hiatus debating the injuries all around the league affect some of the NFL's biggest and best stars. Most importantly, we celebrate the fact that The Avengers took care of business in Paris (after a couple of scares), and brought a gold medal home to the US.
Joel Embiid looks lost in his Olympic debut - hopefully, Team USA figures things out before the medal round kicks off. Later in the show, we (hopefully) put a bow on the NBA television deal conversation that appears to leave TNT out in the cold.
"Pour into it every day" is the unofficial Eagles' slogan of the year... will it age as well as "The rent is due every day?" In other news, Joel Embiid makes some... odd comments, and the Sixers help him out with yet ANOTHER point guard.
