Shiv and Smitty are back in the first episode of the rebrand, going from NY to Philly Connection to now The Bronx & Broad Podcast. We talk about the start of the 2023 season for the Yanks and Phils; along with our thoughts on the new rules!

Shiv and Smitty do team breakdowns for the first week of the season. We dive into around the league with who's hot and the cursed injury bug! 

Spring Training news out of Florida for the Yanks and Phils! We discuss the potential drama of having German (yanks) and Odubel (phils) coming back on the field after their suspensions for domestic violence. Fernando Tatis Jr. mega deal and the breakdown of the contract that makes this out to be a huge lockdown steal! Shiv and Smitty breakdown 2B and SS in this weeks fantasy breakdown. Discussion on the Black Book Dingo league and Smitty's bestball!

We give our thoughts on the Andrew Benintendi trade, Shiv tells the tale of Bamboo Brad.  We break down catcher and first base and how to approach it in your upcoming drafts!  Baseball season is upon us!

We talk the Trevor Bauer signing, Marcell Ozuna and Nelson Cruz finally re-signing and the Oakland/Texas trade that would have rocked the baseball world a few years ago.  We give some insight on draft strategies for fantasy baseball and player evaluation.  We touch on my Bestball draft that just finished and give you our Super Bowl Picks.

This week we discuss the mini moves for the Phils and the next big move for the Yanks, Kluber! We also talk about the craziness of the reporters this offseason, with them jumping the gun on reports and being wrong. Real quick go over the scumbag Jared Porter and we close out with some mock trades Smitty done up for the Yankees! 

The Yankees finally resigned DJ and the Phillies brought in Archie Bradley.  We also discuss the Schwarber, Hendricks and Baez signings.  It was also the first day to sign international players so Shiv talks about the guys the Phillies grabbed.   The arbitration deadline also came so we touch on the notable ones that signed their one year deals.  We end it with Theo becoming a part of the commisoners office and hopefully all the great things he can do.  Did we mention that DJ is coming back to the Yankees?

This week we talk extensively about the Mets big trade for Lindor and Carrasco. Talk about how it effects both teams and how the deal was alot less than what was expected. We of course rant about our teams not doing anything to actually help them. News out of LA about a Pine Tar and Rosin mixture that got a life time Angels employee fired! Should it be illegal or not? Hear our thoughts!

We catch up on the notable trades and signings over the last two weeks.  The Padres took the offseason by storm and we discuss their two trades and the signing of Ha-Seong Kim.  We touch of the potential retools of the Cubs and Rays.  We also speak about the Nationals trading for Josh Bell.   The Phillies finally did something and acquired a reliever and Shiv is ecstatic.  Plus there were a few minor moves we also speak on.

This week's episode is another nice fun filled laid back session. We bring in special guest @metsdrew, a childhood friend of Smitty, to talk about the Mets. We collectively analyze (openly bash) the Scott Boras comments! Shiv and Smitty retract past statements about Omar Vizquel after learning why he really does not belong in the HOF!

This week was light with the news so we decided to dive deep into the history side of things.  We begin with around the league and then take you into the rich history of Scranton/Wilkes-Barre's AAA Team.  We really wanted to explain to you what baseball means to the both of us.  We finish it with our all time favorite Yankees/Phillies team!

This week we discuss the new MLB Draft League created for the top draft eligible prospects. Some scraping of the pot signings, more trade buzz, and some newly posted international stars. With the non-tender deadline over, Smitty and Shiv go over their top 10 non-tendered players; while discussing the best choices for the Yanks and Phils! Stay tuned till the end to hear a rare Smitty Rant! 

This week we finally have something cooking on the hot stove with the signing of Charlie Morton.  We discuss the Randy Arrozarena situation and go into his journey to the majors.  We also talk about some of the international free agents, Yasiel Puig and the notable DFA guys.  The trade winds are blowing and we see if we can find a home for some of them.  We also choose 3 free agents we think who will fit best with our teams.

Shiv and Smitty talk about more news that came out this week along with going over the awards. They also talk about their choices for the All-MLB Team! 

I talk about all they Yankees and Phillies news I've missed over the past few weeks.  I also talk about the start of free agency, the qualifying offers and coaching changes.

I talk the Subway Series and the rest of the Yankees serites.  I also talk about he Brewers no hitter, Scherzer making history, the MVP races and the Wild Card standings!

I talk about the Yankees struggles the past 2 weeks.  The Subway Series is coming and the Mets are hurting just as bad as the Mets.  I also break down the recent extensions that have been given out and I finally touch on the Nationals deadline acquisitions!  Great episode but not much Philly in this weeks episode.
