Charlie, did you learn your multiplication tables in 2nd grade? Yesterday, 9/15, you said that “we had 48 days till the election”. Really? 7x7=48? Today, 9/16, you say 47 days till the election. I really don’t enjoy the countdown, but if you’re going to do one, at least get the arithmetic right!!

don't know if anyone at bulwark or lp will read comments, but I think an equal if not greater fear than trump winning a second term, is biden winning, we get complacent, and jr/ivanka/Jared gets the 2024 nomination. I hope your work carries on through a biden presidency.

trump can't do much with a house that literally refuses to push anything but their own irrational agenda.

Enjoyed your podcast guys! I think Tim Miller would have liked the entire podcast about gross ass Bannon! I'll agree... he should have had more time! Listening to beginning of A.B. & Jonathan (obviously out of podcast order) I see you'd already covered Bannon! 🇺🇲 🇺🇲

Charlie, Thanks for another interesting podcast. I have been a Democrat since I was teenager ( during Vietnam) and have been adverse to many Republican views. However to be honest, I love intelligent discourse as you demonstrate on your show. To hear the "how and why" of why people believe as they do is fascinating and furthers understanding, in my opinion. My biggest hope is that after the Trump fiasco, we will continue the discourse and can bring about a more unified way of being Americans. Thank you for being you.

Staying home, wearing a mask and maintaining distance are about balancing risk, not absolute instruction. if you are in a burning building, forget mask and distance and get outside. For some Americans, police violence against blacks is a burning building.

re: Covid19 vs blm demonstration: public health warnings are a combination of medical science, sociology, Politics and psychology. Don't wear masks, save them for providers, then wear masks to protect others. Stay home , avoid crowds: but that doesn't mean stay in the house if the house is on fire. blm demonstrators are disregarding the stay home order because their house is on fire.

Good afternoon, Charlie. We Blacks know defunding & dismantling of police will result only in more victimization for us. We want equitable & just policing. not an absence of policing. The loud minority is getting the press. Please, stay focused.

I really appreciate the humility in this episode. Looking at the past errors is something we're not usually so good at. Too, the acknowledgement of the birthers in this administration is huge. I'm so glad that you guys arent willing to overlook these gross people.

So, Charlie, do you remember when you discovered that you couldn't use 'kabuki' to describe a performative political act, because it was an racist act or cultural appropriation or something? Today you received instruction that you can no longer point out the silliness of pronoun sensitivity without receiving (very gentle) criticism that it demonstrates insensitivity to lgbtq folk. A pastor I know starts every sermon by saying ' I am Emily, my pronouns are she, her and hers'. But it's only an issue for us old folks who are watching the youngsters negotiate this tectonic social change. It's their idea, not ours. So it seems strange and awkward and amusing to us. Which really pisses them off. On the brighter side, it gives us a chance to channel our grandparents, disapproving of the raucous music, ridiculous dances, and silly patois of the youngsters. Dinosaurs mocked the mammals, old Indians mocked young Indians cuz they wanted to use obsidian when flint worked just as well...so hang in there. As you get older, you will run out of fucks to give, and the silliness of the young will seem adorable instead of offensive. Anyway, you are still the best of pundits, celebrate the fact that the Dems migrated away from Sanders and toward Biden as you suggested. Maybe rationality will break out, Covid19 will thin the ranks of Trump's minions, moderate Dems and moderate Reeps will walk together into a golden dawn of fiscal responsibility and social justice.
