James teaches about wisdom in the third chapter of his book. He warns that there are two kinds - worldly wisdom and the wisdom that comes from above. Which wisdom do we have?
Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted.  
In Psalm 139, David talks in-depth about God's knowledge of us. Knowing this is something that should bring us great comfort, but also great humility. We need to ask God to search us for where we fall short, while also being willing to obey whatever he shows us.
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
